Stassi Schroeder’s best friend Taylor Strecker shared more details about Stassi’s secret falling out with Katie Maloney. Taylor also hinted at why they didn’t speak, and she reacted to Katie’s claim in a recent interview that Taylor gave her a “cold reception” on Stassi’s new reality show, House of Stassi.
Ahead of the new season, Stassi revealed that she and Katie had a falling out. In a preview clip, Katie confronted Stassi about it, claiming that Stassi only lets people in her life if they’re on her payroll. Katie was seemingly, at least in part, referring to Taylor, Stassi’s podcast cohost.
On Virtual Reali-Tea, Taylor shared more details about the secret falling out.
“Katie and I have always been friends through Stassi,” said Taylor. “So when they had their falling out that nobody really knew about, they did it very quietly. It’s like quiet quitting. They quiet unfriended. Or maybe they just took a break. Sometimes friendships need breathers. So they were in one of theirs.”
“But I’m loyal through and through. So if my bestie is in a weird place with you, then … we’re not going to be kiking all the time,” she went on. “I know that Katie recently mentioned that Kristina Kelly and I gave her a cold reception [on House of Stassi].”
According to Taylor, this was “correct.”
“You’ll have to watch to find out why,” said Taylor, who noted that their relationship “progresses” throughout the season. “We just had dinner. She was in the city. She came on my podcast, Taste of Taylor. So, you know, we’re good.”
“But when that video clip surfaced of that whole interaction between her and Stassi … that was the first time I saw it. I’m mad again. … I’m like, ‘Wait. I’m actually pissed at you again.’ … I’m a loyalist through and through. And I’ll say this: I think I have lots of friends, but I don’t have lots of best friends. So when you are my best friend, I will slay dragons for you. I ride for you. And so this is an example of that with Stassi. And yeah, even when she’s over the grudge, I’m still like, ‘No, I’m actually kind of still mad.'”
Taylor said viewers will see this “unfold.”
