The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas got off to a rocky start with co-star Mary Cosby when she first came on the show.
Through the years, the pair have become close friends and have sustained some bumps in the road.
It appears not all is hunky-dory between the pair, however, as Angie, 52, recently opened up to Us Weekly about some challenges they’re experiencing in their friendship.
“I think that it’s just very real and raw challenges that friends deal with,” Angie revealed. “She’s going through a lot and I’m going through a lot.”
“There’s a lot of ups and downs,” Angie added of their friendship. “I think that’s every year. It’s not all fun.”
“The honeymoon phase is over as your bond deepens,” she continued. “You’re more honest with each other and you say what you’re really feeling and thinking. We love each other. We love each other deeply.”
As for what fans can expect on the upcoming seventh season of the show, Angie noted there’s “a lot of focus” on “deep friendships.”
“Sometimes I ask myself, ‘Why is Salt Lake so popular? What do people love about it? What makes us different?’” she continued about the successful franchise. “Everyone is so funny in their own way, but the relationships are real. The friendships, there’s a lot of love and mutual respect with all the women, and the dynamics in this group are so interesting. It’s like an NBA team where every player is required and the relationships are getting deeper, the bond is getting deeper, and I think you feel that.”
“You’re going to see the friendships deepening but with that comes more hurt, and more joy, and more fun, and also I just think that you’re going to see a lot more of everyone’s authentic self,” she added. “I just really feel like everyone has hit their stride, and we’re seeing everyone in their truest form.”
Amid Angie’s new interview, it is also being reported by Bravosnarkside that Angie and Mary have unfollowed each other on Instagram yet again. They first unfollowed each other back in April, but that was brief as they appeared to quickly mend things and started following each other again.
Reality Blurb exclusively reported earlier this year that Mary and Angie had an ugly rift during filming that our source described as being “too ugly to come back from,” as the fight included talk of family members.
Aside from issues with Mary, 53, fans will also likely see issues play out with her husband, Shawn Trujillo, 52, whom it was recently revealed that she had split from after 27 years of marriage.
RHOSLC season seven is expected to premiere on Bravo in the coming months.
