Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is coming to a close after the three-part reunion begins airing on August 9.
While the season may be ending, two of the cast members revealed they’re pregnant; one in the finale episode, which aired last night, and one in a preview for the reunion.
“We’re pregnant,” Shamea Morton told her husband, Gerald Mwangi, during the season 17 finale.
“We are? Oh, that’s awesome,” Gerald responded.
Shamea herself is not carrying their baby, but rather, the couple is using a surrogate to have their next child.
In a preview for the reunion, Pinky Cole also confirmed she has a bun in the oven as she is expecting her 4th child.
When asked about her first season, Pinky stated, “I don’t even want to ever hear the B-word again. The only B-word that I want to talk about is the fact that I’m having a baby!”
“Oh, my god! I don’t want no problems, okay?” she added.
During season 17, Pinky’s mom made it clear she was not in favor of her having another child, which led reunion host Andy Cohen to inquire about her mom’s reaction to the news.
“She was mad as f*ck,” Pinky explained, adding that she is due in December.
“And I just might name her Braveisha,” she added, referring to Bravo, which has made her a household name.
Regardless of Shamea’s baby news, Reality Blurb recently confirmed she is not expected to return for season 18.
“Contracts went out two days ago,” a source shared.
They dished that Bravo is “very interested” in bringing OG star Nene Leakes back and that she has been offered a contract to return.
They also divulged that Shamea “was not offered a contract,” while Kelli Potter has “received a contract to come back.”
“Filming is set to start in 3 weeks, right,” they elaborated. “It will begin following the reunion.”
