Melissa Gorga called out Teresa Giudice’s past “insult,” as fans reacted, questioning if she only made up with Teresa “for the show.” Around the same time, Melissa hinted it was “strange” to film with newbies on season 15 of Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Years ago, when the sisters-in-law were still feuding, Melissa started a sprinkle cookie business, capitalizing on Teresa’s past insult on RHONJ. (In the episode, Teresa questioned why Melissa would buy her sprinkle cookies as a gift after Teresa returned home from prison, given that Teresa doesn’t even like them).
Shortly before RHONJ was taken off hiatus, Melissa and Teresa ended their family feud. Though they seemed to maintain peace, the season recently concluded, and cameras went down.
In an August 4 Instagram post, Melissa posted a video of herself dancing as she opened a box of her sprinkle cookies — and called out Teresa’s past “insult.”
“Took an insult and turned it into a whole business 😉,” she wrote in the caption.

In the comments, fans reacted to the post.
“I don’t know. I do adore Melissa and her little family and Teresa did screw with her for so long, but [Teresa’s] been popping up in some other shows outside the Housewives show and I have to admit Teresa is a different person today than she was during RHONJ,” said a fan. “Something has humbled her spirit and I see a much softer side of @teresagiudice and I actually like who she has become.”
“This is the shade that’s going to tear your family apart again,” said a different fan.
“Please don’t tell us the beef is beefing again,” wrote another.
“Does Teresa get a cut or a discount on the cookies since she started it?” asked a fourth.
“I thought we were in the process of moving forward,” said a fifth. “I think we need to slow this tone.”
“So you did only make up for the show?” asked a sixth. “The minute filming is over the shade begins.”
A different fan expressed, “Oh, I know who the problem is now.”
In an interview with Us Weekly, Melissa addressed the newbies of season 15.
“It was strange at first because I didn’t know how this was gonna go,” she said. “I was actually curious myself, [but] they fit right in. It’s, like, they’re part of the family instantly. It was insane.”
“We laugh, we cry,” said Melissa of the new season. “[There is an] amazing cast, amazing group of girls. [I am] super excited for everybody to meet them.”
She then reflected on her time in the franchise.
“I always go off of how old my youngest son Joey Gorga Jr. is; that’s how I know how long I’ve been doing this because he was 2 months old and now he’s 16,” she said. “That’s how I always figure out how long I’ve been around with the house lights.”
“I feel like [showing our family is] where our show shines the most … just being able to come around and come full-circle,” she shared. “Also, just being able to show my life at home with my kids and the type of mother I am and the children that I have is always like my peak and what makes me the happiest.”
The star insisted that she “never wanted” the family drama.
“I feel confident, and I feel trust, which is something that was always hard to feel before,” said Melissa of her status with Teresa today. “So yeah, [we’re] definitely better than ever. Never going back there, like it’s never happened.”
Both Teresa and Melissa filmed for Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, which celebrated the franchise’s 20-year anniversary.
“We had such a great time this season. It was insane,” she said. “This was so fun. I showed up to the Miami taping and also the finale at Dorinda Medley’s house. That was insane, fire. I don’t want to give too much away, but [it was] insane.”
