Amid rumors that Crystal Kung Minkoff may film for the new season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her friend Jeff Lewis set the record straight. Recently, Dorit Kemsley and other castmates were spotted filming.
Last week, a source told Bravo & Cocktails that RHOBH might pull Crystal back to return for season 16, two years after her exit. The source also claimed that every cast member is returning except Amanda Frances, and that Kathy Hilton is filming less than she ever has before.
On Jeff Lewis Live, guests Evan Real and Danny Murphy brought up the rumor that Crystal might film for the new season.
“I kind of want her back on Beverly Hills,” said Danny, via @sarah_from_texas_podcast_ on Instagram.
“I heard there was a rumor [about that],” said Evan. “[Jeff], you don’t think so?”
“No,” answered Jeff. “I know so.”
“Gotcha, okay. So Crystal’s not back,” Evan commented.
“Yeah,” said Jeff.
Earlier this year on My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, Crystal addressed the cast’s treatment of Amanda.
“[Amanda]’s an easy target. She’s annoying. I don’t believe in her business. Honestly, I do think Amanda’s incredibly annoying. No one thinks she’s not annoying, right? No one’s like, ‘I really love her demeanor.’ We’ve established that, but … The way they’re questioning her and her business, like, ‘I don’t really get it,’ and it’s kind of like how they questioned me about my feelings,” Crystal expressed at the time. “It’s a very gaslight-y thing to do.”
“[Amanda’s business is] not a scam. … She’s very clear, like, ‘If you want me to tell you, you can financially prosper, give me 100 bucks.’ Dude, I would take 100 bucks!” the star continued. “But they just are relentless, and I think that sucks. Also, it’s kind of boring for the show. It’s already been nine episodes. Enough already. You think she’s a scam artist. Say it and move on.”
According to Crystal, cast members feel “a lot of pressure” to deliver on RHOBH.
“Producers will come in, like, ‘This is not going well.’ It also happens kind of in a public setting where it’s like the whole cast,” Crystal explained. “They’ll just come in and slam the table, like, ‘Are you putting on a show, guys?’”
