Fans of Don’t Be Tardy and The Real Housewives of Atlanta were stunned when it was recently reported that Kim Zolciak‘s 15-year-old son Kroy “KJ” Jagger was arrested.
Specifically, KJ was arrested on charges of sex crimes after an alleged encounter with a female in the changing area of a gym.
He is currently being held without bond in Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center.
This week, Kim, 48, was spotted in airports and reportedly out in Palm Beach, Florida.
Some people online were quick to criticize her for taking a vacation amid her son’s massive legal issues; however, an insider exclusively shared with Reality Blurb that it couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Kim is absolutely not on vacation,” a source stated. “It was far from a leisurely trip, and people have no idea what they’re talking about.”
“She is absolutely dedicated to her son and figuring out how to solve this and would absolutely never take a trip for pleasure at this time,” they continued.
The source also insisted that Kim’s kids are “her life” and that “anybody who knows her knows that to be the truth.”
TMZ initially obtained court documents on August 21 that stated a sexual assault was reported on April 24 at the North Fulton Hospital, where a girl KJ went to school with, along with her father, told police that an encounter with KJ had taken place one day prior.
The girl claimed that she and KJ were spending time together at the gym and ended up going into a co-ed sauna when she alleged he got handsy.
She shared she attempted to tell him “no” but alleged he wouldn’t stop and forced her mouth onto his penis and digitally penetrated her vagina.
Police reached out to KJ’s father, Kroy Biermann, on May 14, after an investigation.
They spoke with him on May 18, and Kroy, 40, said he would bring up the matter to Kim.
KJ was taken into custody on August 17 and will remain there until a hearing on September 1.
The police report noted the girl went to the hospital for an examination, and doctors found no evidence of any male DNA in her mouth or vagina.
Kim ended up speaking out on her son’s behalf on August 21.
“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged,” she told Us Weekly at the time. “My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed. Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found.”
“False accusations can have devastating consequences not only for the person being accused, but also for genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation,” she added. “We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations.”
