Emira D’Spain shared whether Georgia McCann ever revealed off-camera what else Charlie Zakkour allegedly said about Emira behind her back. The star also addressed Georgia’s “intentions,” and she revealed that the situation led to a “strain on my relationship.”
Earlier this season on Next Gen NYC, Georgia told Emira that Charlie once called her boyfriend Kevin Stefanick gay. Emira later met up with Charlie, who denied he ever said it, and she seemed to let it go. This surprised many fans, who called Charlie’s alleged comment extremely transphobic.
At one point, Georgia, who was feuding with Charlie, her ex-friend, hinted that Charlie has said other things about Emira, but Georgia would tell her about it off camera.
On Gabbing with Gib, Emira shared whether she ever followed up with Georgia about what else Charlie said.
“I didn’t,” said Emira. “In that moment, I was kind of like, okay, well, clearly there’s more to this. I am going to just choose to believe the worst now rather than believe the best in someone. And I’m just going to protect myself and protect my relationship and my identity, my livelihood — away from this person.'”
Emira then addressed Georgia’s intentions.
“I think the very first conversation, like the whole Kevin part that was brought up at my birthday, that I think was intentional,” she said. “I think that was catty and calculated, and she was just trying to be like messy. But … then I think she realized how serious it was like midway through … I think she was trying to clean up her intentions, not in a bad way. I think that it was just like misconstrued. And, you know, her and I have a lot of conversations, and you’ll see it at the reunion and talk about it more. But I don’t know, I hope that her and I can like move on from this and be friends.”
Though Emira said Georgia “did me dirty,” she wants to move on from it.
As for the fallout over Georgia bringing up Charlie’s alleged comment, Emira said, “Opening up that conversation was something obviously I did not want. I did not want to keep dragging it. And like, I think a lot of feedback that I kept seeing from people this year is everyone was saying, ‘Well, why are you just like letting this go? Like, why are you siding with Charlie?'”
“I was trying my best to not feed the fire anymore because … I could see what was going to happen,” she said. “And I was right … I [ended up] getting so many hurtful messages, so much hate online. And like, even some of it directed towards Kevin, and it put a strain on my relationship. And I could see all of that in my mind happening while we were filming. And that’s why I was trying my best to steer the conversation away from this.”
