Max Salvador said he’s Team Joe Bradley amid Joe’s war with Max’s boss Nathan Gallagher on Below Deck Mediterranean. Max, who left the season early to help his dad in Tunisia, hinted that Nathan “betrayed” him, and he declared that someone needs to “humble him.”

A few weeks ago, news broke that Nathan allegedly fled Australia after an arrest warrant had been filed against him. Nathan was accused of choking and assaulting his girlfriend Gael Cameron.

Throughout the new season, Joe and Nathan butted heads as Nathan seemingly ignored Joe’s suggestions to help the yacht run more smoothly. A season earlier, Nathan got into it continually with Max.

On the Above Deck podcast, Max was asked if he’s Team Joe or Nathan.

“[I always] think with my heart. I will follow with Joe,” said the Frenchman. “And I will stay with him and I will not accept Nathan because he betrayed me last season.”

“I always go with the better energy,” Max added. “I think always with the heart. So yeah, I would [be] with Joe. … F**k Nathan.”

As for Nathan, Max said “someone needs to humble him.”

In late August, Nathan spoke out on the DV allegations in a statement given to Rolling Stone.

“I don’t believe the public has heard the full story surrounding what happened,” Nathan claimed. “I understand [New South Wales] Police have confirmed my arrest in December 2025. What has been publicly reported, however, represents only one side of what was an extremely complicated situation.”

“I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context and show events that have not been publicly reported,” he added. “I am willing to provide the relevant footage so that you can make your own assessment of what it shows.”

Nathan alleged that there are “other matters” surrounding his relationship that he’s “never discussed publicly.”

“[This includes] circumstances surrounding the breakdown of our relationship, previous allegations she made about a former partner, and financial matters relating to the purchase of an apartment in Sydney,” said Nathan. “I have retained documentation and communications relating to those matters as well.”
