Ariana Biermann revealed how much her rent was with ex-boyfriend Hudson McLeroy – and how much she actually paid of it. The Next Gen NYC star also recalled their conversation about money before moving to New York, as Gia Giudice shared how much she herself pays in rent.
In the new season, Ariana addressed her breakup with Hudson, who she’d been dating for many years. Recently, she hinted that money played a factor in the split. Not long ago, Ariana was living in Georgia, and Gia was living with her mom Teresa Giudice in New Jersey.
On Next Gen NYC After Show, Ariana first shared how much she thought she’d be paying in rent with Hudson.
“When Hudson and I first moved to New York, I was like, ‘$6,000 [a month for] an apartment. I’ll pay three, you pay three. Like we’ll do that.’ We doubled that plus a little extra,” she revealed. “Our rent when we first moved here was like $14,000 [a month].”
“So I did not pay a dollar of it,” she went on. “He did not want me to pay a dollar of one. So I didn’t pay a dollar of it. … Also, I was like, … ‘No matter how high you want to go in rent, like I can’t afford — at that time, [but] thankfully, God bless, I now could — to pay $7,000 a month.”
As for Gia, she said she pays “all in all” over “$6,000 every month.”
Last month, Ariana shared more details on why she and Hudson split.
“When Hudson and I decided to move out [to New York], I literally had, I think like, $200 to my name, genuinely,” Ariana explained at the time on the After Show. “Obviously, we know my parents took all my money. I never got a dollar.”
She said things changed after Ariana began making more money due to the show.
“He was so happy for me. It did get to a point though where it was kind of like, ‘You’re bringing in more money than I’m bringing in right now. I’m not used to that,’” she continued. “I definitely think that was a struggle for him at some point, whether he would specifically say it out loud or not.”
“It wasn’t like he was trying to tear me down or whatever. You just like, you know, he didn’t come to an event with me, which really hurt my feelings a lot, because I was getting paid money and he wasn’t,” she said. “But he was always really happy for me.”
