Gael Cameron spoke out again amid her ex-boyfriend Nathan Gallagher’s arrest warrant, after the Below Deck Mediterranean star was accused of choking and assaulting her in December. Gael shared that she “lost [her]self” and her “sparkle,” and she said she didn’t “handle” it.
According to reports, Nathan skipped court and went MIA amid the domestic violence case. About a week ago, Gael issued a statement explaining that the situation has been “tough,” and she’s been using the last few months to “quietly heal.”
In a recent Instagram post, Gael reacted to those who have told her “you handled it so well.”
“No, I didn’t,” wrote Gael. “I lost myself. I lost my spark. I didn’t handle it. My best friend did. She sat with me, let me talk about the same thing 50,000 times.”
In the caption, Gael added, “You can never remind your person enough how grateful you are for them.”
Last month, Nathan insinuated that the public hasn’t heard his side.
“I don’t believe the public has heard the full story surrounding what happened,” said Nathan in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I understand [New South Wales] Police have confirmed my arrest in December 2025. What has been publicly reported, however, represents only one side of what was an extremely complicated situation.”
“I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context and show events that have not been publicly reported,” he went on. “I am willing to provide the relevant footage so that you can make your own assessment of what it shows.”
He claimed he’s “never discussed publicly” certain “matters” about his relationship.
“[This includes] circumstances surrounding the breakdown of our relationship, previous allegations she made about a former partner, and financial matters relating to the purchase of an apartment in Sydney,” he stated. “I have retained documentation and communications relating to those matters as well.”
“I am not going to make accusations or release private documents on Instagram. I have kept the evidence and will deal with it through the appropriate channels. But I also don’t believe it is fair for one version of events to be presented publicly as though it is the complete story when there is evidence that may materially contradict or provide significant context to that account,” he continued. “I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes and I will take responsibility for my own actions. But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it.”
