Layla Taylor and Mayci Neeley hinted at their possible exits from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in the wake of their good friend Mikayla Matthews‘ exit.
On the recently released season, Layla, Mayci, and Mikayla expressed their disappointment in Taylor Frankie Paul’s actions. While the season was filming, Taylor was accused by her ex, Dakota Mortensen, of physically abusing him, as a video was released of her throwing a bar stool during their fight while her child was in the room. Many in the cast refused to film with Taylor after the video dropped. Layla, Mikayla, and Mayci have all publicly denounced Taylor’s actions.
Yesterday, Mikayla shocked fans by announcing her exit from the show.
Recently, a fan asked Mayci in a comment on TikTok if she herself is staying or going.
“I am finishing this current season we are filming,” said Mayci, via @themormonwivesreport on Instagram, “and then not sure after that!”

Around the same time, a fan on Instagram asked Layla, “With Mikayla announcing her not joining season 6, will you return?”
Layla answered, via @thesecretliveshq on Instagram, “I just love [Mikayla] so much. … It’s such an impossible situation for everyone involved but I’m finishing out season 6 and then tbd.”
On September 14, Mikayla revealed that she was leaving the show.
“I made my decision over a week ago, after hearing some news, that I will not be continuing the show at this moment ❤️,” said the star on Instagram. “I’ve said from the beginning of this that I’m not comfortable being a part of something that continues to platform behavior I don’t agree [with], especially given my own experience growing up in a home with multiple forms of abuse.”
Many fans believe she was referring to Taylor Frankie Paul.
“There’s no amount of money worth going against my morals or changing the stance I’ve had since I first saw and heard the things that made me feel this strongly,” she continued. “And for me personally, continuing to directly profit from this behavior feels wrong and unethical. It feels like a disservice to the children, everyone’s healing and the millions of people watching.”
