Fans of The Osbournes and of the heavy metal group Black Sabbath went through a major loss last year when Ozzy Osbourne died.
While some families may band together after losing their patriarch, that doesn’t seem to be the case for the Osbournes.
According to Kelly Osbourne, 41, she has no relationship with her sister Aimee Osbourne, 43.
Kelly revealed she no longer has anything to do with Aimee due to them being “polar opposites.”
“If I’m honest, my older sister didn’t really ever acknowledge me and my brother [Jack Osbourne],” she shared on the We Need to Talk podcast.
“She was just in her own world doing her own thing. I do, to a certain extent, feel as though she was embarrassed of us,” she added.
The podcast host asked Kelly if she felt Aimee was embarrassed of their entire family, including Ozzy and their mother, Sharon Osbourne.
“I’ll never really truly understand. It just felt that way,” she stated. “I know … we’re very different. Everything I am, she’s not. Everything she is, I’m not. Like you couldn’t be more polar opposite. We’re like oil and water.”
She did claim she has some “resentment” toward Aimee, specifically for not being a real big sister to her.
“I respect her, I accept her, but we’re different, and that’s OK,” Kelly explained when asked if she thought she and Aimee could reconcile. “If you’re not going to accept me for who I am and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life.”
As fans of The Osbournes likely recall, Aimee did not appear on the show. In fact, she moved out of their family home at age 16 so she wouldn’t have to take part in it, and any family photos blurred her face out.
Aimee told the Independent that she chose not to appear on the hit MTV show because she was still “trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life.”
“I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable,” she noted.
