Bethenny Frankel reacted to the body cam footage of Teresa Giudice and her daughter Milania Giudice at the airport, months after the 20-year-old was arrested for simple assault. The Real Housewives of New York City alum defended Teresa and her family as Milania is “obviously going through something,” before Bethenny told people to “back the f**k up.”
Earlier this week, Milania filmed herself at the Tampa International Airport with Teresa, her sister Gia Giudice, and police. In the video, Milania told her mom to shut the f**k up. The Sun then obtained police body cam footage, which indicated that the cops were called after Milania tried to run away. At one point in the video, Teresa shared that Milania had fentanyl in her system, and Milania claimed she was “laced.” She also asked if Teresa wanted to put her “back in that psych ward.”
In a recent Instagram video, Bethenny addressed the situation.
“I think it’s so irresponsible of the media to be putting out this footage of Milania Giudice. I realize that she is technically an adult, but she’s 20 years old. And to me, that’s a kid,” said Bethenny. “I realize that 20-year-old women can have children and [they] do, but it’s still a child.”
She then stood up for Teresa against people who are criticizing her family.
“[Milania’s] obviously going through something. And as a mother, for anyone to criticize their family, every parent goes through so many different things with their kids that nobody knows about, myself included,” she said. “And for that to be publicly aired, adding a layer on to something like this, on the heels of the tragedy for Cindy Crawford and Randy Gerber, every parent thinks about the emotional pain that your child goes through.”
“And as someone who is a public person, you think about the additional scrutiny and just the unusual circumstances,” Bethenny continued. “And I just find it to be not even just bad, poor taste [but also] dangerous, actually dangerous, unfortunate, unnecessary.”
Bethenny called this over “the line.”
“When a young girl is going through something emotionally traumatic, that really is a mental health issue, whether temporarily or permanently, it is all bets are off — and back the f**k up,” she added. “Honestly, I don’t like it. I mean, I detest it.”
