Tia Glover revealed she was “gobsmacked” to learn that her friend Gizelle Bryant was sitting on the information about her husband Rob Glover being on dating apps. The Real Housewives of Potomac star shared how long Gizelle knew, and she recalled confronting her husband.
One of the central storylines of the upcoming season will be the rumor that Rob was on dating sites, which co-stars seemed happy to find out and discuss. Tia’s first season on RHOP, however, was relatively easy for a newbie ‘Housewife.’
In an interview with ET, Tia shared that Wendy Osefo called her to let her know that the dating-app storyline was going to continue all season, so Tia should “buckle in.” Tia confirmed that this indeed was brought up all season.
She then addressed how Gizelle, who was Tia’s friend, sat on the information while cameras were down.
“I think you can see on my face I was gobsmacked,” said Tia, via @mrhousewives on Instagram. “I definitely did not think that my friend had this information and she didn’t just pick up the phone and call me. … We were all in New York in January, and I was in [Gizelle’s] room the evening after the reunion. I had taken her a gift from Nigeria, and we were chatting away. She had ample time to tell me face-to-face if she was looking out for me.”
Tia said that Gizelle and Stacey Rusch both knew about it at the reunion, and Stacey worked hard to “plant it on Gizelle.”
Tia said her friendship with Gizelle was “rocked” because of it, though she didn’t reveal where they stand today, as fans will “have to see.”
Later on, Tia recalled confronting her husband over the dating-app revelation.
“At what point do you not think that this would come out? I don’t know if he was thinking. He said, you know, he was just bored, looking for some attention,” Tia told the outlet. “I hadn’t [asked] at the time, but after Wendy prompted me to ask, I went back and said, ‘Well, how long?’ And he said, ‘For about a year,’ which kind of coincides with when I joined this friend group.”
Tia suggested that she didn’t go through the app to verify if what he said was true.
“Listen, I have four kids. I’m not a police woman, so I’m not in the business of policing people. At that point, I was just making sure I kept my hands to my side and didn’t do any bodily harm,” she went on. “And I was in shock. I was highly humiliated, and I was in a lot of pain. And at that time, my children didn’t know about it. And I knew that being on public TV, this is something that couldn’t be concealed.”
