Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Whitney Rose has been going through a rough patch lately.

Specifically, it was revealed yesterday that Whitney, 40, officially filed for divorce from Justin Rose, 58.

Whitney appeared on the red carpet for the Virtual RealiTea Awards and spoke with E! News about where things stand with her and Justin in terms of co-parenting.

“We’re nesting, so we share two homes,” Whitney revealed. “So our kids stay in one home, and he and I move from home to home, um, to keep the kids’ security, safety, stability. Um, this process has taught me that no matter what Justin and I – what happens between us, we will put the kids first, and that’s all that matters to me is my family staying a family unit despite what happens in my marriage.”

She also noted the season has been “hard to rewatch” as it was “quite some time ago.”

“I’m in a completely different place and a different mindset,” she added. “So, it’s hard to relive, but I’m very proud of Justin and I. We’ve remained amicable and co-parenting, and yeah, it’s hard to watch, but I’m here for it. I’m vulnerable, I’m real, and it’s my real life; it’s what I’m going through.”

Whitney also spoke with The Reality Rundown and discussed the healing journey she’s continued on during this season.

“It’s really cathartic,” she noted of this season of RHOSLC. “I mean, I’m a completely different person now than I was back then, so, obviously, reliving things is hard, but I’m in such a good place now that it’s cathartic to watch. And I just am so proud of all the hard work I’ve done because it’s starting to pay off, and I’m finally starting to see the rewards of my healing journey.”

In terms of her relationships with other cast members, Whitney shared that most of them have been “beautiful” about her experience and that she’s “very close” to many of them.

“They still support me,” she elaborated. “We talk every day, I support them. And for the ones that don’t, the ones that choose to hate on me when I’m down and continue to do so, I think that says more about them than it does me. And I’m secure with myself and where I’m at, and I’ve just realized not everyone is going to be in my corner, and that’s okay. I still wish them well. They’re still my sisters, whether they like it or not. I still root for them. They’re my sisters, and I have nothing bad to say other than maybe open up your hearts and minds a little bit, you know?”

New episodes of RHOSLC air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
