Jessel Taank addressed the backlash against her on the new season of Real Housewives of New York, as she shared that fans aren’t “seeing the full picture.” She also questioned if she “get[s] it worse” because of “how I look,” and hinted at why she kicked Erin Lichy out.

In a recent episode, Jessel asked Carole Radziwill about the new fashion trends concerning her late friend Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, who died tragically in a plane crash. She also asked if Carolyn was a “b**ch.” Some fans felt that Jessel’s questions were callous.

In a different scene, Jessel kicked Erin out of her party after learning that Erin was speaking negatively about Jessel behind her back.

On Feedback with Ira, Jessel addressed the recent backlash.

“I’ve been told that I’m not a good mother, that I’m not a good wife. I’m not gonna blame the edit, but you know, you’re not seeing the full picture,” she said.

As for why she told Erin to ‘get the f**k out’ of her party, Jessel hinted, “I feel like Erin is not curious, doesn’t ask questions.”

Jessel then addressed how she’s treated by certain people. “I’m not playing the race card, but I’m just like, ‘Do I get it worse because of how I look?'” she asked.

Regarding her controversial comments to Carole about Carolyn Bessette, Jessel said, “I felt really terrible.” But when asked if she reached out to Carole, Jessel answered, “Look, it’s complicated.”

Last month on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Carole reflected on Jessel’s questions about Bessette.

“Jessel was not asking questions. She was just like, telling me that she had had this experience at some magazine, and she was discussing the Carolyn Bessette aesthetic and ‘What do you think about the Carolyn Bessette Summer?’ There were no questions except for ‘Was she a b*tch?’ I was like, ‘What the f*ck?’ Like seriously. So that was my initiation,” said Carole at the time.

“It felt at the time intentional that, I don’t know, there was no reason for her to be like, ‘Well, what do you mean? Why aren’t you having a Carolyn Bessette Summer?’” Carole continued. “Listen, this is my first time in my entire adult life I’ve had to navigate questions, inappropriate questions, about my family.”
