While the last two seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City have been met with relatively lackluster reviews, the latest season seems to have gotten its groove back.
This is likely due to some fresh faces and the return of Carole Radziwill.
On last night’s episode, Sai de Silva, who is going through a divorce from David Craig, revealed that RHONY alum Jenna Lyons had dropped a bombshell about her divorce.
Specifically, Sai, 45, told co-star Jessel Taank, 46, that Jenna, 58, had reached out to her about her divorce.
“I was like, ‘Thank you so much, you must have seen all over the news,’” Sai said. “And she’s like, ‘No, I’ve actually known for a little bit now.’”
When Sai pressed Jenna for more details, she shared that she’d known for a while they were separating even though Sai had kept mostly mum about her marital problems. She did, however, share information about her personal life with Erin Lichy.
“And I said, ‘Let me guess, Erin?’” Sai continued sharing with Jessel. “And [Jenna] said, ‘Not directly. Like, she told someone, and it got back to me.’”
This clearly struck a nerve with Sai.
“What gives you the right to tell people about my god*amn marriage?” she said in a confessional. “This has something to do with my children. My kids are involved.”
“Erin was swearing up and down that she would never tell my business,” she added, recalling a conversation she’d had with Erin where she insisted she wasn’t sharing Sai’s personal business. “Hail Mary, up and down.”
As the episode continued, Sai did end up confronting Erin, 39, about telling Jenna, which she denied.
But the drama didn’t end there as Sai then exposed Erin for allegedly spreading “despicable” rumors about Jessel Taank’s husband.
During a scene with Jessel, Sai called her makeup artist, who confirmed they heard Erin claiming she had proof that Pavit Randhawa was gay and was caught cheating with other men at his gym.
Not surprisingly, Jessel was floored following the conversation and denied Erin’s alleged claims.
Carole, 63, also had a dramatic moment when she decided to open up about her name being featured in disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein‘s infamous “Epstein files.”
“If you Google me right now, it says that my name is in the Epstein files,” she told the women.
While she did know Jeffrey’s girlfriend and alleged madame, Ghislaine Maxwell, Carole was insistent she didn’t know Jeffrey and that Ghislaine, 64, “never spoke about him.”
Sai got confrontational with Carole over her name being in the files and inquired if she and Ghislaine were “really good friends.”
“If you read the press, we were … but she was never one of my close friends,” Carole said.
“In the early 2000s, it would be strange if you [went] out to a really big event in New York and Ghislaine wasn’t there,” she added in a confessional.
As Sai continued to push Carole regarding her relationship with Ghislaine, Carole insisted it was not a “deep” friendship and that they’d “drifted apart.” She also referred to Ghislaine as a “social climber.”
“If you lined up 10 women and said, ‘Which one was part of an international sex trafficking ring?’ It would not be her,” she also told the women.
“I get that people would be curious about it,” she also said in a confessional after Sai said that the Epstein scandal pained her to her stomach as she had a teenage daughter. “But there’s a fine line between curiosity and accusation. Why are you using your daughter as a shield? And then also a sword to grill me with questions?… This is not what we should be talking about.”
Carole also ended up opening up that she was sexually assaulted in college.
“Like a lot of young girls, I had a situation where I was sexually assaulted in college. So I was sensitive to that. This was a college professor,” she revealed. “And believe me, this professor was celebrated. This professor had lots of friends who didn’t know that he was assaulting young students… It does shake me to think that I knew someone and would even, like, call her a friend, who then, 20 years later, turned out to be a monster.”
New episodes of RHONY air every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
