Alexis Bellino claimed she was “used as a plot” on the recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, as she shared what wasn’t shown. Alexis also revealed the real reason she didn’t approach Heather Dubrow before their fight.
In the episode, at a party thrown by Alexis’ friend Tamra Judge, Heather waved hello to Alexis and her husband John Janssen, and Alexis stayed put, seemingly refusing to acknowledge her, though John gave an awkward wave back. Heather later claimed that Alexis gave her a “look,” and this triggered a dramatic fight between the former friends. At one point, Alexis fired back at Heather and called her delusional.
On Tamra’s The Orange Doesn’t Fall Far podcast, Alexis revealed that she had anxiety going into the party.
“[I had anxiety because] I didn’t really want to go. You had asked me,” said Alexis, speaking directly to Tamra. “I went back and forth, [and] you were just like, ‘Come do it for me.'”
Tamra added, “I had to go to lunch with you to get you to go.”
Alexis continued, “Even in the car, I kept telling John, ‘My stomach is in knots.’ And I think it was my gut saying, ‘Be prepared.'”
As for the claim that she gave Heather a look, Alexis stated, “I understand why the audience is kind of like, ‘Why did she [and John react like that?]'”
But Alexis explained that she was about to come greet Tamra and Heather, but people in production told her, “No, no, no. You’re in holding.”
“And by the time I get to the second holding spot, you [Tamra] came out and said, ‘Heather thinks you gave her a dirty look,'” said Alexis. “In my mind, I’m like, ‘Here we go. I’m being used as a plot.'”
“Everyone thinks I made this moment about me. The whole point is I didn’t even want to mic up,” she said. “I didn’t want to be a moment. I definitely overreacted. I mean, we can all see that. I should have not just gone. And I’ve taken that accountability.”
Alexis said she regrets overreacting.
