RHOC Recap: Shannon Wonders if Vicki has her Back; Tamra Calls Vicki Out for the Cruel Things She Said on a Podcast Two Years Ago and Denies Wanting Fame Over a Relationship With her Daughter

On this episode of  The Real Housewives of Orange County, Tamra‘s complicated relationship with Vicki explodes over things said on a podcast two years ago.  Tamra sure does hold grudges, especially when Vicki picks apart her mothering. Tamra has seemingly forgotten that she has hurt people in the past, too, until Vicki gets pushed to her limit. Not even capybaras, tea, or sushi can fix this tense situation…

Emily has a surprise for the ladies at the muscle girl bar.  It’s exactly what you think it is, but of course Vicki is not up for any fun whatsoever. Afterwards, half of the ladies head over to see some capybaras while the rest go to lunch via subway.  None of these women are Magellan, that’s for sure, and watching them take public transportation is hilarious.

Emily, Jenn, and Tamra visit a capybara cafe and they get cozy on a couch with the animals. The ladies begin to feed the capybaras, whilst enjoying some coffee and tea- the gossip kind.

Emily points out that Vicki never stays the whole time for any event and Tamra does not know how to get through to her anymore. Emily explains that Vicki’s version of her friendship with Shannon is noncommittal. Tamra calls her relationship with Vicki complicated, considering the way she spoke of Tamra on podcasts a while back. The fact that Vicki has no boundaries and went after Tamra’s estranged daughter is pretty low AND Vicki has never even apologized, apparently…

In the meantime, Gina, Heather, Shannon, and Vicki sit down for some eats. Shannon does not appreciate that she is called out for always making excuses for Vicki. Gina points out that Shannon was irked because Jenn hugged Alexis, yet Vicki is friendly with Alexis. Shannon calls herself a true friend, but she wonders if Vicki really has her back the way she has Vicki’s.

Back in Rancho Santa Fe, California, Carmella explains that she cannot regulate her sugar and nothing is working.  The stress of the Tokyo trip makes Carmella feel like everything is against her. She has a million reasons why she could not get to Japan, including not being able to get her ADHD medication.  She understands that she truly has limitations.

The rainy evening in Tokyo ends with a tea master for a traditional experience. They all put on some kimonos and Heather is stoked to be a part of this. A history lesson ensues and they learn how to “enjoy” the tea they helped create.

Emily does not feel like Shannon is honest with the way she feels about Jenn.  When Jenn was hugging Alexis, Shannon claims she was joking when she said she would need to address that with Jenn later.  But when Alexis went on Vicki’s podcast, Shannon did what?

Shannon claims she questioned Vicki for hosting Alexis and that Vicki said she had no idea that would bother Shannon. Shannon reminds Vicki that she never told her that Alexis was coming on. It almost was like Vicki was hiding it from Shannon on purpose. Emily is confused why Vicki did not give Shannon a heads up.

Vicki felt like Tamra did not give Shannon any grace when she was going through her troubles.  Tamra begins to question why Vicki uses her podcast to cause such issues, such as picking apart Tamra’s mothering. Tamra becomes emotional confronting Vicki regarding things she said on her podcast two years ago about her estranged daughter.

Vicki remembers the truth a different way than Tamra does and claims she has already apologized for this. Tamra yells about being attacked as a mother and states she would give up her happiness to keep her child. Tamra collapses in Heather’s arms and wonders why Vicki would go so low.  Tamra admits that a lot of her anger comes from the situation with her daughter and she cries to Shannon about how she is her safe place.

The next morning, the ladies get ready for go-karts and a marketplace. Carmella gets all the deets about the trip from Jenn via FaceTime. Carmella calls Vicki’s behavior “beyond damaging,” but Vicki does not understand why Tamra has decided to bring this all back up to the surface.  Seems like Tamra is allergic to peace.

Heather, Tamra, and Emily prepare for some go-karts, in costume. Vicki later joins Jenn, Gina, and Shannon at the marketplace.  Speaking of Vicki, Tamra can’t go over the fact that Vicki did not come over to console her the night before. Vicki sees it differently.

Vicki claims she retaliated against mean things Tamra has said in the past and wonders if Tamra is trying to put a wedge between her and Shannon. Shannon does not appreciate that Vicki is talking out of both sides of her mouth regarding their friendship and Vicki’s lack of accountability is beyond frustrating.

To stir things up further, Emily lets Tamra know that she heard Vicki say that maybe Tamra’s daughter does not talk to her because of the way Tamra acts in public.  Vicki doubled down and now is fighting dirty. So much for the apology.

In other sad news: Shannon lets Tamra know that Archie is doing worse and is unable to stand up. Tamra realizes how important Archie is to Shannon and how terrible it will be when he passes.

Heather has found a chef to give the ladies a lesson on sushi, but Tamra would rather not even look at Vicki at the moment. Tamra can’t stand the tension and calls it out once they are done with the lesson.  Vicki claims she is exhausted by Tamra bringing the past back up and reminds Tamra that she should feel terrible for the things she said that hurt her: ie Vicki being in on the cancer scam with Brooks.

Vicki points out that Tamra is doing this to create more problems and reminds Tamra that she did not create the rift between Tamra and her daughter. The ladies decide to evacuate so Vicki and Tamra can duke it out. However, Vicki leaves, but reminds Tamra she has amnesia and has suddenly forgotten what she has done to everyone in this group.

Every single person in the group can say they’ve been hurt by Tamra, but Tamra wants to make sure that Vicki’s apology is genuine. After playing mediator, Shannon leaves Tamra and Vicki alone, round deux. Tamra is upset that Vicki said she’d rather be famous than have a relationship with her daughter and Vicki reminds Tamra that she is not a kind person. Vicki is sick of Tamra’s rumors and remembers why she stopped talking to her for years.

After much ado, Vicki tearfully lets Tamra know that if she could take back that moment, she would.  She excuses herself, but not before calling Tamra sugar tits and smacking her booty. Okay? I think it’s best to just let those two fight it out alone, because frankly, we can’t keep up.
