Fans of Summer House star Ciara Miller were so excited to watch her compete week after week on Dancing with the Stars.

Unfortunately, Ciara, 30, was eliminated last week.

In the wake of that, she spoke out on the official DWTS podcast about her time on the show, airing her grievances that the show focused too much on her Summer House drama.

As those who have followed her story know, Ciara’s former flame West Wilson shockingly revealed he was dating her good friend Amanda Batula. All of this happened behind Ciara’s back, and when she asked Amanda, 35, if there was any truth to rumors about her and West, 31, Amanda lied and denied them.

“I spent seven years, almost, on reality TV. When I started, I was 24, and I’m 30 now,” she stated on the Official DWTS podcast following her elimination from the series. “I have, kind of, grown up on TV in a way and gone through some really essential years. So, I think, I’m so much more than what happened in this past year – a betrayal of friendship.”

“In my sphere, I’m trying to pave the way for girls that look like me aside from, like, the scandal,” Ciara continued. “So I wish that was maybe mentioned more.”

Brandon Armstrong, who was Ciara’s partner on DWTS, shared similar sentiments.

“I would love for people to understand the depth Ciara possesses,” he noted. “She deserves better out of this process because of her character.”

Ciara also spoke out on her Instagram about her elimination, sharing it was “not the outcome” she wanted but that there was “nothing” she could do about it.

“I feel like when things happen, I need like at least a week to get my bearings to be able to even approach the general public,” she said. “I appreciate, and I do not take for granted, how hard y’all have been riding for me this past week, but also this year.”

Ciara continued, “Once we got eliminated, I was very emotional trying to find my words, to even navigate. You’ve got to talk to all of these outlets and all of the things. Obviously, I wanted to get a Mirrorball, not just for myself, but I really wanted Brandon to have a chance at the Mirrorball. With the way that things have gone this year, I feel like I wanted to trust in God and trust in the universe that I would be perfectly placed where I was supposed to be.”

She expressed that she’s “grateful” she got paired with Brandon, 32.

“God has a really funny way of placing the people in your life that he knows that you’re supposed to be in contact with, and that are supposed to change your life, and even though this was such a short moment, I am so thankful for this wild and crazy ride,” she elaborated. “I feel like it was truly everything I needed and more.”

Ciara also reflected on the crazy year she’s had, sharing that, “The journey that God has taken me on this year…  I surrender. But sometimes… I genuinely have no idea what he’s trying to tell me.”
