Jennifer Pedranti and Ryan Boyajian appear to be at a stalemate when it comes to their impending wedding.
As the upcoming event continues to be a hot topic on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Jenn, 48, explained that the schedule of her son Dawson, who recently joined the U.S. Marine Corps, has made it difficult to lock down a date as she looked back on her past eviction and decision to move into Ryan’s house with her kids.
“I don’t know what to do, like, with this wedding,” Jenn admitted on the September 25 episode of the RHOC: After Show.
According to Jenn, she wanted to get married before Dawson left for boot camp, but they couldn’t make it happen. And while he has a 10-day window available in October, she’s not sure if that will be the right time either.
“It’s like, is it the perfect time to sweep him away and go do something like that, or cuz he’s only got a 10-day window … is that the most inappropriate time? Does he need to just be home? I don’t know,” she noted.
Although Jenn is open to making their marriage official at a courthouse, she shared that Ryan, 49, was not on the same page.
“I told Ryan the other day, ‘Do we just go to the courthouse, get married, and then when these kids are all available, go do something?’ He said, ‘I don’t wanna go to the courthouse. It’s not how I want to do it,'” she explained.
Moving on to their potential guest list, Jenn recalled a comment Tamra made about not wanting to attend — and about the nuptials being “tacky.”
“From what I hear, Tamra wouldn’t even be at the wedding. She loves to say how she wouldn’t even come to our wedding, and then to call it tacky. She’s like, ‘Do you think I want to be at that wedding … and it’s tacky.’ Like, it’s so beneath her to come to my wedding,” Jenn said, joking that she would go forward with her plan to wear a bikini.
“I’m sick of fighting this whole thing. Now I might as well just do it,” she suggested.
Heather Dubrow, 56, and Shannon Beador, 61, also spoke of Jenn’s wedding, with Heather sharing that she didn’t think Jenn wanted her to attend and preferred the event to be “just family,” and Shannon suspecting she would get an invite if the guest list went beyond family.
During another moment of the RHOC: After Show, Jenn reflected on the moments that followed her split from ex-husband William Pedranti.
“When Will and I divorced, we nested, which meant we shared a house so we had a home, the kids had their bedrooms, and then when it was Will’s time, I left. We didn’t stay there. On his time, he would stay in the house with the kids … And then when it was my time, he would leave,” she revealed.
While the arrangement worked for some time, Jenn was ultimately evicted and forced to find a new place for her and her family.
“I had to figure out, are me and these kids going into a two-bedroom or are we going to Ryan’s? And it was hard,” she admitted. “When we first moved into Ryan’s, the kids, I felt like, were moving into Ryan’s home, and I remember we all would have these conversations like, ‘Are you good? Are you not good? Do you feel like you’re home?’ Because they lost home. They lost home when we went to Ryan’s, and so it took a while to feel like, ‘Oh, this isn’t Ryan’s home, this is just our home.’”
Speaking of Ryan’s willingness to take Jenn and her family in, Gretchen Rossi, 46, said it was “such a testament to who Ryan is.”
“Ryan’s not forcing it, pushing it, he’s just organically allowing it to happen,” she noted. “He just jumps in and helps with everything. That’s so hard to find, a guy that’s willing to take all of that on. But that’s a testament to how much he loves you, and that’s why I get so angry when people are out talking sh*t about you guys in the press.”
“They don’t know … which is why I reached out to you. Because I’m like, ‘How do you navigate this? It’s horrible,’” Jenn replied.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
