Lisa Hochstein and Julia Lemigova were involved in a “mortifying” confrontation at the Miami International Airport after attending BravoCon in Las Vegas over the weekend, and the drama between them has spilled over onto social media.
According to a report, the drama went down between the Real Housewives of Miami cast members in baggage claim, where Lisa, 43, and Julia, 53, allegedly “caused a scene” in front of “children, families and elderly people.”
Julia “marched” over and screamed, “Keep my name out of your mouth,” to Lisa, an insider told Page Six on November 18, adding that Julia insisted she “didn’t want to cause a scene.”
Meanwhile, a second source said the incident came about after Julia learned that Lisa had supposedly trash-talked her in BravoCon interviews.
Julia was “trying to keep things calm,” the insider stated.
But two additional eyewitnesses said Julia “kept getting in Lisa’s face.”
“[Lisa was] shocked — but tried to brush it off,” one explained, noting that Julia allegedly “chased” Lisa around baggage claim as Lisa demanded, “Get out of my f*cking face!”
Although the first source accused Julia of shouting, the second said Lisa was the one who was “very loud and heightened,” and other RHOM stars who were present described the moment as “mortifying.”
“People are gonna start recording us,” they reportedly warned the women.
In a statement to Page Six in regard to the incident between her and Julia, Lisa said Julia came at her “out of nowhere.”
“I haven’t spoken to her in months outside of our BravoCon panel on stage. I had just gotten off a long flight and thought she was walking over to apologize for her antics during this past season. I calmly told her it wasn’t the time or place, but she wouldn’t stop. She was standing over me and making threats. At that point, I pointed to the Meredith Marks ‘I’m Disengaging’ hat I was wearing and told her to get out of my face,” Lisa shared.
As for Julia, she told Page Six, “I calmly approached Lisa to tell her I was very hurt about the things she said to press during BravoCon.”
According to Julia, Lisa “had a hugely explosive reaction” involving “continuous use of vulgar expletives.” And even after she “walked away,” Lisa “continued yelling, ‘F–k off’ and ‘Get the f–k out of my face,’” repeatedly.
“People were gasping at her choice of words and shaking their heads in disgust,” Julia added.
Following the sharing of the report, Lisa spoke out in a series of Instagram comments, prompting Julia to respond.
“Imagine just minding your own business at the airport and then this women (sic) aggressively berates you out of nowhere to try to get press,” she wrote, accusing Julia of being on “thin ice” and “desperate.”
“I am but one woman, not women. Not a typo, is it???” Julia replied.
Lisa then accused Julia of setting her up.
“I believe this was a set up. She marches up to me aggressively saying she doesn’t want to create a scene, but yet creating a huge scene after I asked her multiple times very calmly to leave me alone. She refused. My entire team, including our driver, witnessed the whole ‘performance,’” she revealed. “I finally had to tell her to get the F out of my face as she harassed me. It truly believed she did this as a last attempt as she’s grasping for straws to stay on the show. I knew I would wake up to a news article this morning. I wonder who orchestrated this … this woman has a history of lying and being aggressive as we all have witnessed on the show.”
Lisa even suggested that Julia may have been on something at the time of their spat.
“Maybe she should keep my family’s mouth out of her mouth, including [Jody Glidden]’s. Btw her eyeballs were huge!!!!” she alleged.
Still, Julia denied her account of the events.
“This is not at all what happened, but it seems most people here want to believe the worst version of me. I asked Lisa a simple question and she went from ‘don’t make a public scene’ to ‘f*ck off’ in two seconds,” she claimed. “I really don’t need this crap and certainly was not wanting any publicity. Though I tried to de-escalate the situation, Lisa would have none of it. I hate confrontation and I don’t do vulgar … as my friends know very well. There is no space for hate in my life and I wish only good things for everyone here. Thank you!”
In additional comments shared by Queen of Bravo on Instagram, Lisa accused Julia of “looking for a press moment” as Guerdy Abraira, 47, whom Julia poured a drink on amid season seven, weighed in.
“Baby it’s déjà vu … join the club,” she told Lisa.
No word yet on when filming will begin on The Real Housewives of Miami season eight.
