Former NYC mayor Eric Adams called out Andy Cohen on X after his drunken rant against him on CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live.

After blasting Eric’s predecessor, Bill de Blasio, 64, years prior, shading his term as “crappiest” and saying he was a “horrible mayor,” the 57-year-old Watch What Happens Live host slammed Eric, 65, in a similar manner as co-host Anderson Cooper, 58, and The Office actor B.J. Novak, 46, tried to stop him.

“I’d like to say, watching the final moments of Mayor Adams’ chaotic, horrible,” Andy began, via a January 1 report from the New York Post.

He then incorrectly proclaimed that Eric had been “pardoned,” seemingly in regard to the dismissal of federal corruption charges against him.

“Great, you got your pardons, go off in the sunset. We’ll, we’ll fiddle with what we have, with what you left us with,” Andy stated.

Even as Anderson put his arm around Andy and B.J. suggested he be “cut off,” admitting, “He can’t help himself,” Andy continued with his rant.

“You pardoned your way through four years, and all the clubs, we’ll see you there,” he said, staring into the camera. “I just want to say, goodbye, Mayor Adams, you did it, you did it, you did it, didn’t you?”

“But I will say this, I think he may have dented the rat population,” Andy went on, sarcastically applauding Eric’s Office of Rodent Mitigation.

“I think he got rid of some of the rats, but isn’t that a metaphor of sorts?” he added. “Let’s call it as it is, honestly. It is 2026 and there are less rats.”

Hours later, after handing over his mayoral torch to new mayor Zohran Mamdani, 34, Eric issued a scathing response on X, encouraging Andy to “seek help” for his potential alcoholism.

“My response to [Andy]: AA … Another sloppy drunken rant,” Eric wrote. “If anyone actually cares about him, they’ll tell him to get help. New Yorkers aren’t laughing with him. They are concerned about him. Public intoxication is a disease. He should seek help … He was safe in Times Square because we did our job. Again.”

“Seek help. AAA: Andy’s Alcohol Anonymous,” he added.
