Sutton Stracke compared the end of her friendship with Garcelle Beauvais to a “death,” as she called out fans who criticize “what I did wrong.” She also named which co-stars she trusts the most and who she “truly” thinks is the Queen of Beverly Hills.
After the season 14 reunion of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Garcelle seemingly ended her friendship with Sutton — and completely exited the show. Sutton has shared that they haven’t spoken since (and hinted that she isn’t exactly sure why).
On Scheananigans, host Scheana Shay asked Sutton about the end of her friendship with Garcelle.
“It’s difficult. I struggle with it still. You know, it’s just so sad. It’s like a death,” said Sutton, who shared that she and Garcelle still do not speak. “Then the fans are like, stop talking about. Well, stop asking questions.”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” she went on, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “It was a big loss. I lost a friend. So, you know, the flippant questions and the people making fun of it and chastising me for what I did wrong, you need to remember that I lost a friend.”
Sutton said she’s “sorry” she wasn’t “given the opportunity” to “work things out.”
“That was the hardest part,” she said. “…It’s really a breakup and, you know, I did love Garcelle. … It’s when the boyfriend just drops you, and you just have to live with it.”
When asked who she trusts the most, Sutton named Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly, who are her “two confidants.” Sutton said Kyle and Kathy give the “best advice.” Though Erika Jayne is good at giving compliments, Boz is good at “lifting women up.” When asked who is the most easygoing, Sutton mentioned Rachel Zoe.
She named Kyle Richards as the queen of Beverly Hills, though it’s “thought” to be Lisa Vanderpump. “Or maybe [Lisa] thinks she is,” added Sutton.
Scheana, Lisa’s former employee, agreed that Lisa thinks she’s the queen, and she called out a recent rumor that Lisa’s restaurant, TomTom, is “up for sale.”
“I mean, I think the grande dame truly is Kathy Hilton,” said Sutton. “I think she’s probably, I think, the queen.”
