Nia Booko and her husband, Danny Booko, looked back on their drama in San Diego after Wednesday’s new episode of The Valley.

After experiencing adversity as Nia, 36, attempted to balance the journey of welcoming her fourth child with enjoying time with her castmates and friends, and husband Danny, 42, pushed for the latter option, the couple, who have been married since 2015, shared their frustrations with one another.

“I feel like we had friction most of the weekend in San Diego, and so we had good little pockets, but there was just so much friction,” Nia admitted on the May 13 episode of The Valley: After Show.

According to Nia, she struggled to relinquish control to her and Danny’s nanny, even though she did want to engage in some quality time with her spouse.

“Even though I’m trying to have more time with my husband because we have help, I’m still in mom mode. I can’t escape it,” she explained. “I feel like he just had a picture in his head, what it would look like, and that just was not the reality, so there was frustration because we were on different pages.”

In his own segment, Danny also mentioned the nanny.

“We paid for Lena, who is an absolute angel and very capable of doing everything with the child, except breastfeed … [So] there was a little bit of, ‘Why am I being asked to do so many things that are easily done and can be easily done by the babysitter, who we have out here?’” he noted. “When it’s stuff during the day … it was one of those things that was a little frustrating of like, hey, we brought a sitter here so we could have quality time, be around some friends, and not have the other three kids.”

“We do have help, so let’s use it as much as we can,” he added.

Meanwhile, Luke Broderick, 34, offered support, sharing that he went through a similar situation with Kristen Doute, 43, after they welcomed their first child. However, he pointed out that it was important to acknowledge “how much easier it is for [dads] to pass that trust than for the moms to pass that trust.”

Agreeing with his castmate’s sentiments, Danny shared, “I can give the baby to Lena, and my mind turns off about it, but if Nia … she’s thinking everything that can go wrong. [Her mind doesn’t] turn off about it.”

During another portion of the After Show, Nia and Danny recalled a pregnancy scare they experienced after Adelaide’s arrival.

“Normally, I’m like clockwork, and I ended up being like a month and a half late. I was like, ‘Am I pregnant?’ I was freaking out,” Nia revealed.

But Danny wasn’t as convinced.

“I was like, ‘We’re not pregnant, dude, there’s no way,’” he recalled.

The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
