Huda Mustafa and her boyfriend Louis Russell‘ have called it quits.
This split comes amid the ongoing legal drama involving the Love Island USA alum and Nicole Olivera, the mother of Louis’ son.
The former couple issued a joint statement to TMZ on May 20 confirming their breakup after almost a year of dating.
“We want to share that after taking time to reflect on what’s best for us both, we have mutually decided to part ways for the time being,” they shared.
“Huda is dedicating her time and energy to being the best mother, her music career and the exciting opportunities ahead, while Louis is focused on being the best father he can be and pursuing his future endeavors,” the statement continued.
They concluded their statement by adding, “We remain friends and continue to have the utmost respect and love for one another. During this time, we kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this next chapter of our lives.”
As reported in March, Nicole was able to obtain a restraining order against Huda after she alleged Huda not only threatened to harm her son, but also allegedly suggested she would kill herself and harm her own daughter before attempting to break into her Los Angeles home.
Court documents filed on March 12 detailed Nicole claiming that Huda had sworn on her own daughter’s life that she was going to commit suicide and proceeded to make several “terrifying” and “extremely mentally unstable” threats against herself, her daughter, and Nicole’s son. It apparently didn’t end there as Huda then surfaced at Nicole’s home, where she allegedly broke into her apartment building.
Following the filing, a judge agreed to a temporary restraining order which required Huda to stay 100 yards away from Nicole, her son, and their home.
Days later, disturbing text messages allegedly sent from Huda to Louis, which Nicole reportedly used in court to obtain her restraining order, made its way online.
In one message to Louis, Huda allegedly warned, “Bye my sweet handsome man, your beautiful girl loves [you] more than anyone you’ll ever know,” and cryptically stated, “I knew this would happen.”
“You don’t care if I live or die you’re already in someone else,” Huda continued.
Although Louis encouraged Huda to get “help” and “go to a hospital,” Huda told him she wasn’t safe and asked him, “Do [you] care?”
She then added, “I’m going to [your] baby moms house,” and shared an Uber screenshot.
“In the Uber now … I’m about to be at Niks,” she texted.
Huda has continued to deny the harassment claims as the legal process continues to play out.
