Austen Kroll revealed Andy Cohen texted him about the Summer House drama and dished on the new season of Southern Charm in new interviews.
As Bravo fans know, the Summer House world has been in a tailspin since West Wilson and Amanda Batula confirmed they were in a relationship on March 31.
In a conversation with Woman’s World, Austen, who dated Ciara Miller and is friends with Kyle Cooke, shared his thoughts on the controversial Summer House situation.
“I don’t know all the details. I know what everyone knows,” Austen shared.
Once the news broke, he said Andy texted him, Shep Rose, and Craig Conover.
“He was like, ‘Aren’t you guys just glad that it’s not you?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, yes, I am,'” Austen stated.
Austen said due to him not having a ton of information on the situation, he will be “seated” for the Summer House reunion, which begins airing next week.
“It’s been tough to watch a show your friends are on, and to see them do things, and this and that, but yeah, I think I’m interested to watch the reunion,” he added. “What I will tell you is that I was at the premiere for In the City last night, and Kyle had a smile on his face all night, and so did Lindsay. I’m just happy for them in this new chapter.”
Austen also addressed all the “fun stuff” that was cut out of Winter House during his time on the show when speaking about Andrea Denver.
“At first, Craig and I were like, what are we gonna have in common with this hot Italian model? And it turns out that he was so much fun, and he loves American culture. We even had him pledge a pretend frat, and they just cut it all,” he shared.
Austen and his Southern Charm co-star Salley Carson spoke to Us Weekly recently about the upcoming season of their show.
“Some friendships, I feel like, are lost,” Salley dished. “A couple of friendships have been lost on my side.”
While Austen joked Sally would be “so in trouble” for saying that, Salley insisted she didn’t “say who.”
“I mean, I just think that if we’re being honest, I think that a lot of people that have been on this show for a long time are getting older, and things are settling down, and you have different ways,” Austen added. “Like, different things make me excited than they maybe did five years ago.”
While Austen and Salley tried to determine if their relationship was meant to be more than friends last season, they did not indicate where things currently stand.
“I think that, obviously, we’re filming season 12, and you’re going to see our relationship dynamic play out,” Austen claimed. “We’re certainly talking about that a lot amongst one another, and Salley and I just have a lot of fun together, and this Fireball campaign was no different. We had so much fun doing it, and the pictures that are coming out are too funny, and we just had fun.”
A premiere date for the upcoming season of Southern Charm has yet to be announced.
