Summer House star Amanda Batula allegedly held hands with Southern Charm‘s Craig Conover under the table while he was in a relationship with Paige DeSorbo. Now, this moment has come under scrutiny again amid her relationship with West Wilson.
The reason that this alleged incident is being reexamined has to do with text messages between Amanda and Ciara Miller that Ciara read during the first part of the season 10 reunion.
Kate Riccio, who runs Riccio Recaps on TikTok, discussed the incident and what it may have to do with Ciara and Amanda’s texts.
“I’m talking about Ciara’s text to Amanda where she mentions ‘holding hands under a table’ because she’s obviously referring to Paige DeSorbo in that text,” Kate said. “And I’m kind of putting my tin foil hat on for this one because I know I sound crazy, but did you guys notice in that text exchange between Ciara and Amanda that Ciara read at the reunion? Ciara wrote to Amanda, ‘Okay, so for clarity, you and West haven’t hooked up, made out, held hands under a table, or had sex.'”
“Held hands under a table,” she continued. “Well, if you remember when this whole Amanda and West thing came out, there was another rumor that surfaced about Amanda and Craig Conover, where, allegedly, and I can’t stress this enough, this is all allegedly, but allegedly, Paige caught Craig and Amanda holding hands under the table. And I mean, it was literally caught on camera. It’s on Summer House.”

Kate went on to note that a fan DM’d Amanda after the scene aired, and she reportedly claimed it was a “tense and awkward situation” due to what was happening in the scene. And thus, she and Craig were “squeezing each other’s hands under the table.”
“But allegedly, Paige distanced herself from Amanda after this incident,” Kate added. “So, I feel like by Ciara saying that in this text to Amanda, she is referring to this incident between Amanda and Craig Conover that obviously did not leave Paige DeSorbo very happy, allegedly. And now look, I could be wrong, and this could be a totally separate holding hands under the table situation, but it does feel like kind of a strange coincidence.”
Instagram user Charles Turtz, who has a podcast, also weighed in on the situation.
“At this point we’re making things up, but if this is in fact true, it would be absolutely wild, and honestly, them holding hands under the dinner table is still too weird to be a real answer,” he shared. “And seeing Craig hop from friend to friend on his own show, it’s not looking like this is good, just even the hand holding.”
