Shannon Beador discussed the idea of a reconciliation between the Tres Amigas, including Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, after last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
As Tamra, 48, admitted to being “embarrassed” by the group and Vicki, 64, spoke of the ongoing cycle she and Tamra seem to be stuck in of breakups and makeups, Shannon, 64, confirmed whether the group would ever get back together.
“[My daughter Sophie Beador] is the one that came up with that name. We were in Punta Mita, and I said, ‘What should we call our little group?’ And she said, ‘Why don’t you call yourselves the Tres Amigas?’” Shannon began on the August 28 episode of the RHOC: After Show Podcast.
Meanwhile, Tamra said the title was a bit humiliating.
“It was embarrassing to me … the Tres Amigas whole show and all that was not my idea; I was already busy enough,” she explained, adding that she exited the group once she found out “how Shannon talked mad sh*t about me.”
After Tamra said that Shannon’s behavior was her “out,” and confirmed the group was “retired,” Shannon agreed that a Tres Amigas reunion was off the table due to Tamra’s inconsistency.
“Are we gonna reunite [and] go on the road? No,” Shannon declared. “Today, I think we’re in a good place, and then I hear that she’s making snide comments about me on social media. What way is the wind blowing today?”
“Dos Amigas is [better],” she added.
As for Vicki, she recalled their Tres Amigas show being “fun.”
“We had fun with it, and the audience had fun with it … [And] Shannon and I decided to continue it, just her and I,” she revealed.
But, as RHOC fans well know, the Dos Amigas also didn’t last.
“I’m not sad that we’re not doing it anymore. Things evolve in relationships. I’m not stuck on ‘Oh, my god, I need the Tres Amigas back,'” she shared. “I love both of them, and I think we can be together and just have fun but know each other’s boundaries.”
As for their future, Vicki admitted they may never “be as close as [they] were in the past.”
“I think there was a lot of damage that was done. Tamra and I are on a cycle. It’s like we’re good, then we’re bad … It’s exhausting,” she admitted. “I think Tamra wants me to forget and move on and I try, but then when she comes at me again or at somebody else again, I realize it’s just who Tamra is, and I have to accept her and love her for that.”
After noting that she and Tamra may have gotten “too close,” Vicki said she believed they’d “moved on from the hurt.”
“My girlfriend friendships are not what they used to be 30 years ago. I was raising my kids. We all played Bunco. Things were different. As I get older, I want quality friendships that I can trust. Not 20, 30 friendships. I’m not a clinger,” she concluded.
