Todd Tucker is sharing his side of his divorce from Kandi Burruss.
Following the creation of the 50-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta alum’s one-woman show, I Do. I Did. I’m Done, which saw Kandi opening up about the split, Todd, 53, took to his Instagram page, where he announced that he had signed a deal with AMC Theaters and was bringing Todd’s Weekend Takeover to “all the major cities.”
Yesterday, Todd debuted the trailer for Til Divorce Do Us Part.
“Divorce is never easy! I want to share my journey post divorce. I never thought this would be my story. I made mistakes and I hope some can learn from my journey,” he wrote in the caption of the sneak peek.
As the trailer begins with Kandi disappearing from a photo of her and Todd, and sees Todd meeting with his divorce attorney, declaring, “I’m ready,” he takes off his wedding ring in front of a Fulton County courthouse.
Throughout the preview, a number of RHOA alums are seen, including Fatum Alford, who shows up with a cake, Ralph Pittman Jr., 43, with whom Todd discusses his “stressful” split from Kandi, and Dennis McKinley, 45, whom Todd seemingly tells that Kandi had brought a new person around their kids.
“I’m f*cked up right now. Like, I don’t want to be with anybody,” Todd states.
He then mentions the death of his mother, Sharon Tucker, who died in December 2014, saying, “When my mom passed, Kandi was instantly all I had. Like, I don’t have a family.”
“That sh*t breaks you down,” he continues to a pastor. “I looked at my gun a couple of times.”
As the preview goes on, it is alleged that “one incident” led to Todd and Kandi’s divorce.
“But why are we not going back before the incident when I screamed for f*cking help?” Todd asks after the incident is brought up.
He then tells Ralph that he’s open to a lie detector test, as a polygrapher is seen asking him if he had sex with the woman he took to a baseball game and stayed at her home.

Days earlier, Todd had shared more details on his new project.
“I’m bringing back my hit movie, Don’t Bring Your Man to Atlanta. I’m also bringing Til Divorce Do Us Part,” Todd revealed on September 1. “It’s a reality show that I shot, my journey post-divorce. It’s just my side of what happened and how I feel and what I went through and the journey of going through a divorce alone. It’s one of the toughest things that I’ve gone through outside of my mom passing. So I got a story to tell. I want y’all to see it.”
According to Todd, the events, which will take place between October and December, will feature a Meet & Greet and a DJ in the theater.
“You’re gonna see things from my perspective. At the end of the day, there’s always two sides to every story. If my story gonna be told, I guess should be the one to tell it,” he concluded.

Todd also added a caption to his post, which read, in part, “Divorce was mentally the toughest thing I’ve ever [gone] through next to my mom passing. I went through some very dark times. And now I’m working on a better version of me.”
After Todd’s news was shared, one person expressed hope for a reconciliation between him and Kandi, the mother of his 10-year-old son Ace and six-year-old daughter Blaze.
“I wish y’all get back together! It can be even more powerful and now you have a deeper relationship with God! God can bring it all together again,” they wrote.
“Did you say this on her page?” Todd replied.
Another said, “As a man with a background in production it would be great to see him producing shows not opening restaurants and shows with a connection to Kandi. He should show that he doesn’t need her or her family to be successful.”
In turn, Todd defended himself, stating, “After I gave all my ideas for them to be successful? Wow. But you’ll see!”
Another person on Instagram praised Kandi for being “respectful” of Todd, despite their messy split.
“She’s still so nice and respectful towards you when brought up in interviews etc. Seems like you wanna bash and dawg her out. Kick her when she down type sh*t. Kandi is a good person,” they declared.
Meanwhile, Todd wanted to know what in his video was “bashing” Kandi.
“It all happened. When I show the real I’m bashing! Wow!” he exclaimed.
Someone else accused him of “[wanting Kandi’s] money.” But, according to Todd, he was behind much of their financial success.
“What money?” he replied. “I helped make the money! Kick rocks. I would block you but I want people to see this sh*t.”
Also on Instagram, after a fan suggested that Kandi was not concerned about Todd’s business ventures, suspecting the musician was “probably” on board with it because “her bag is secure” and Todd “has to take care of his kids,” Todd agreed, “I think that’s how it should be.”
While Todd admits he was drinking on the night of the incident, he insists that he went straight to bed as the woman showered.
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker got married on April 4, 2014, and separated on July 15, 2025.
