The Valley star Brittany Cartwright‘s divorce drama with ex Jax Taylor is continuing to spiral.
Recently, there have been back-and-forth restraining orders and other wild allegations being made in both directions.
Now, it has been reported that Jax called her the r-word repeatedly and threatened to “kill” her during a fight they had.
TMZ obtained a transcript of a video recording from August 28, 2022, that Brittany, 37, submitted in court in an attempt to get a permanent restraining order against Jax, 47.
The two are arguing when Jax tells their son, Cruz Cauchi, “I’m sorry, buddy.”
He then tells Brittany she’s a “f*cking r*tard.”
“Oh my god, so sorry,” Brittany replies, to which Jax says, “You’re a f*cking r*tard.”
The transcript noted that Cruz, who was a baby at the time, was “wailing” in the background as Brittany asked Jax to “please leave us alone.”
“Nope,” Jax answered. “What are you doing? What are you gonna do? You’re not gonna do s*it.”
Later on in the argument, Jax said to her, “You’re a nut. You’re a terrible mother.” He was questioning her about who has guests over until 2 a.m. when there’s a baby present, and Brittany insisted Cruz was asleep when her guests were over.
“Oh my gosh. I’m sorry, buddy,” Brittany says. “Get away. Get out of here. Get out of this room. Oh my god, you’re freaking him out, please. I’m sorry, buddy.”
“Don’t you ever, ever, ever turn my child against me. Don’t you ever, Don’t you ever EVER come against me and my child,” Jax answered. “Don’t you ever. You want water? I’ll bring him water. You bring my child against me, I’ll f*cken kill you!”
Prior to their argument ending, Jax and Brittany got into it over Cruz’s milk, with Jax telling Brittany to “give” their child his milk.
“She’s going back 5 years to a period of time when he wasn’t sober,” Jax’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told the outlet. “He did the hard work to get beyond the shortcomings he had back then. He’s into doing the hard work. I would be shocked if this is the only relationship in the history of Western civilization where every argument was the fault only of one party.”
TMZ also reported on a DM that Brittany allegedly sent to Smartwater over Jax’s fake deal.
As those following Jax likely recall, he had posted an Instagram photo promoting Smartwater in July 2026 and added the “partner” hashtag, which one would do if they had a deal to promote a product.
Smartwater confirmed that the partnership was not authorized.
In court documents Jax filed to try to obtain a restraining order against Brittany, which TMZ obtained, Jax said he had gotten what he thought was a real invitation from a third-party influencer platform to promote Smartwater on social media. After accepting it, he posted some content about them.
When he learned the deal wasn’t legitimate, Jax noted he ended up removing the posts, but he claimed Brittany went at him on her podcast over the ordeal.
He also alleged she reached out to Smartwater via DM, writing, “Hello. I just saw that you are partnering with Jax Taylor. Please know that this looks awful for your company, as he has a long history of abuse and disgusting behavior. This partnership does not reflect well on you.”
“Thank you for reaching out,” he said that Smartwater replied. “Smartwater has no relationship with Jax Taylor. He is not a brand ambassador, and his content is not authorized by or affiliated with the company.”
Jax noted Brittany said on her podcast that he had “faked a brand partnership” so that more companies would want to work with him.
In his court filing, Jax asked the court to stop Brittany from reaching out to his brand deals or business partners.
All of this news comes amid Brittany sharing on her Instagram Story that she is filming something.

Zooming in, it appears to be a collaboration between PetSmart and Bravo, and the date of filming appears to have been July 23, 2026.
