Attorney Ronald Richards Says Dorit Kemsley ‘Fired’ Her Legal Team Amid PK Divorce, Predicts Case Will Now Become “More Complicated”

Attorney Ronald Richards claimed Dorit Kemsley “fire[d]” her legal team, as her contentious divorce with ex PK Kemsley will now become “more complicated” with “no end in sight.”

Recently, according to reports, Dorit and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star agreed to sell their L.A. home – amid their $6 million mortgage debt – as PK is expected to pay the mortgage until his ex moves out (though he’ll be reimbursed from profits after the sale).

According to attorney Ronald Richards, Dorit recently “fire[d]” her legal team and replaced them with a new one.

“In other words, she has retained an attorney close to her in the 818 [area code] and has left the more expensive high-power [law] firm in Century City that had represented her all this time,” said the lawyer in his Instagram post. “The parties still cannot agree on the order from the hearing over a week ago. Now, with new counsel, things will get even more complicated.”

Ronald provided a September 1 document showing that Dorit was substituting her legal representative Samantha Spector with Julio R. Bardavid, as Ronald commented that there’s “no end in sight.”

“[We believe that] PK does not want to be forced to service the debt,” said Ronald. “And [he] would only like reimbursement if he so chooses to advance funds. PK has no objection to Dorit getting reimbursed for any funds she advances. What a mess.”

In her new book, Unburdened: A Memoir, Dorit addressed the end of her marriage to PK.

“What shifted later wasn’t responsibility,” she stated. “It was authority. As my income grew, so did his expectation to decide how it was used. Not collaboratively, but decisively. I wasn’t comfortable with that. I didn’t want control. I wanted a partnership. And when I insisted on transparency, it became a friction point that never truly left us.”

“Money simply became the language the deeper issues spoke through,” she continued. “Beneath every conversation about spending or planning was the same unspoken question: Are we building this life together, or are we living side by side inside separate ones?”
