Lala Kent revealed her recent interaction with Tom Sandoval at a party, as she questioned if he “insult[ed]” her – and shared that people came up to her and “vented” about “him being there.”
During their final season on Vanderpump Rules, many fans slammed Lala for being cordial with Tom, who cheated on his then-girlfriend Ariana Madix. But after the entire cast was fired, Lala hinted that she and Tom weren’t close.
Lately, Tom has been in the headlines over his legal issues with ex Victoria Lee Robinson. Earlier this month, Tom was granted a two-year restraining order against Victoria after he accused her of abuse. Victoria also accused him of abuse and previously filed for a temporary restraining order.
“We went to Schwartz and Jason‘s birthday,” said Lala on her podcast, Untraditionally Lala, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “I had this green dress and it had these flared sleeves and this like flared bottom with little rhinestones. And Tom Sandoval was there.”
“And he’s like, ‘Lala, I got to say, I’m not like the biggest fan of what you wear when there’s like a theme,’” she recalled, “‘but I got to say tonight, I love this look on you.’ I was like, oh, that’s so nice. Is that an insult?”
Lala then shared where she stands with Tom today.
“Do I get along with him? Yes. I mean, I would. Are we texting each other? No. Are we calling each other? No,” she said. “Has he appeared at things that like I’m at? Yes. And I’m not unkind to him. You know, it’s [cordial]. It’s like, hey, it’s good to see you. How are you doing? He seemed like he was in a very good space, which is great.”
But Lala hinted that people at the party would “come up” to her and “vent about him being there.”
“And I just felt in that moment with the things that I have seen in the news, I’m like, can we just like focus on being here together, celebrating these two people, not thinking about who we’re kicking out,” she said, seemingly alluding to Tom’s legal issues with ex Victoria. “[He’s] Schwartz’s friend. It’s his birthday party. Let’s just let it be. We don’t need to have this … full conversation about how we wish security was here to kick people out. It’s just so unnecessary.”
