On this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle Bryant has been involved in a lot of the drama.
Much of this has had to do with her knowing that Tia Glover‘s husband was on a dating app and not telling Tia herself, but rather asking Ashley Darby about it.
Tia, 45, was upset with Gizelle, 56, as she felt like she had withheld the information from her.
Robyn Dixon, who returned to the show this year in a friend-of role, has always been close with Gizelle; however, Robyn, 47, has been speaking out this year when she thinks Gizelle and Ashley, 38, are wrong.
In an interview with Us Magazine, Gizelle opened up about her friend holding her accountable.
“Robyn should hold me accountable,” she stated. “Someone should. I mean, I’m not mad at it.”
“Robyn’s back,” she added. “I feel like with the vibe, we got the whole gang back together again so we know each other. We know how to have fun. We know how to poke each other a little bit, and it’s the best.”
Gizelle also spoke out on The Breakfast Club, addressing the situation with Tia.
When asked if she ever watched the show and realized she was the “villain” in somebody else’s story, Gizelle responded, “all the time,” and then added that she was okay with that.
“I think what we realize is we are making a show, and this is entertaining, and you can’t get caught up in the personal of it, right? Even though we’re discussing personal things, I feel like if you just, you know, just tell yourself, okay, ‘I’m going to clock in and have this moment with my girlfriends and whatever it is is whatever it is, ‘I think you can thrive,” she shared.
While Gizelle acknowledged the personal situations, such as the one with Tia’s husband, do play out in the public arena due to them being on RHOP, she noted that “you have to tell these stupid husbands to govern yourself accordingly, because we’re on international television.”
She also defended how she went about things with getting info on Tia’s husband, sharing she had received a DM where someone sent her the dating site he was on.
“I am not a dating site girl. I don’t know what dating sites look like, especially gay dating sites,” she explained. “So I went to my good girlfriend Ashley and said, ‘Hey, is this real? Is this AI? Is this some foolishness?’ Because people send this stuff all the time, and I just don’t want to throw stuff on camera because I know what that means. We got to live it. We got to talk about it. We got to, and then it airs. Then we got to talk about it again. So I didn’t want to do that to her. I actually liked Tia. So I was like, ‘Let me just figure this out first and make sure it’s real before I tell the world.'”
While Stacey Rusch ended up being the one to tell Tia about her husband, as Stacey had also been sent the DM, Gizelle acknowledged Tia probably would have rather heard it from her, as they’re friends and she could have delivered it in a better way.
As for not telling Tia, Gizelle stated, “If you tell, you’re in the middle of it. And I didn’t want to be in the middle of it. And you know this, on the show, I’ve been accused of hating men, hating relationships. I’m trying to break up people’s marriages. And I didn’t want I knew if I told her, I was going to get that backlash, and I didn’t want it.”
New episodes of RHOP every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
