Some bad news to report today as Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umanky’s home was burglarized while the couple was on vacation.
Even worse, the items stolen from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars’ home is valued at over $1 million.
This is the same home we reported Kyle and Mauricio purchased back in October for $8.2 million. You can see photos of it here.
According to TMZ, the home which located in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles was burglarized around 1:15 am on Wednesday, December 27.
The burglars reportedly broke a window to gain entrance and stole more than $1 million in jewelry, including $150,000 worth of watches owned by Mauricio. The housekeeper discovered the break-in the next day.
Unfortunately for Kyle and Mauricio, their home security system wasn’t turned on during the time of the robbery. Sources close to the couple suspect it might have been an inside job as the home is currently under construction for some renovations which means a number of people have access to it.
The upside is the couple was not home during the robbery as they traveled to Aspen, Colorado the day before with their kids and friends. In fact Kyle shared a photo from Aspen yesterday on her Instagram page with the caption: “So happy to be back in beautiful Aspen with loved ones .” Kyle’s BFF Faye Resnick can also be seen in the picture – posted below.
The home did have working surveillance cameras so cops are hopeful the robbers will be apprehended.
