Days after her drunken arrest, Luann de Lesseps has officially checked into rehab.
The 52-yr-old Real Housewives of New York City star shared the news via a statement she just released moments ago.
Luann states, “I am truly embarrassed. I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center.”
Her full statement is below –
“After the events of last Saturday night in Palm Beach, I am truly embarrassed. I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center. I intend to turn this unfortunate incident into a positive life changing event. Once again, I sincerely apologize for my actions. I have the greatest respect for police officers and the job they do. My actions alleged in the police report do not reflect my core values and my law abiding character. I am so grateful for the love and support that I am receiving from my family, friends, and loyal supporters.”

As we previously reported, Luann has been charged with four crimes including three felonies for battery on cops, resisting arrest with violence and disorderly intoxication in public.
The police report was released this week and shed more light on the events leading up to her arrest. It stated Luann trespassed into the wrong hotel room with a mystery man and refused to leave when asked by security. Cops were eventually called and she ended up locking herself in the hotel bathroom, before allegedly psychically attacking the police offices and threatening to kill them all.
She is currently due back in court on January 25. It’s safe to assume going to rehab might help get her leniency when it comes to her legal troubles.
