Did Ryan Edwards suffer a drug relapse and fail a court-ordered drug test?
While the Teen Mom OG dad appeared to be doing well during filming on the seventh season of the show after attending a weeks long treatment program months prior, he’s facing new rumors of a drug relapse and return to rehab.
“He failed a court-offered drug test for meth and various types of pills last Friday morning thus his visitation is getting denied,” an alleged insider in a Teen Mom group chat claimed.
The supposed insider then said that Edwards had reportedly checked into rehab the following day, March 3, for a second go-around in treatment and added that his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, had lost temporary custody of her own son due to her husband’s alleged relapse.
In response to the report, however, Standifer said the rumors were “not true at all.”
“He’s right here next to me,” Standifer confirmed to Radar Online on March 8. “It’s disgusting to say something that has absolutely no merit. If Ryan failed a court-ordered drug test he would be in jail.”
Radar confirmed that after contacting the Hamilton County Court, they were informed that there had been no new updates or fillings in Standifer’s custody case with her former husband.
According to a separate report, Edwards recently attended the Teen Mom OG season seven reunion, which filmed last weekend in New York City, but left filming before the rest of the cast.
“He didn’t stay long at the Reunion, though,” a behind-the-scenes source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup on March 8. “His family was telling people he didn’t want to be there, so that’s why he left super early.”
