Ryan Edwards is reportedly behind on his taxes to the tune of $120,000.
Following news of his sudden exit from Teen Mom OG, Ryan and his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, are facing major debt with the IRS. Luckily, Mackenzie, who is currently expecting her second child in October, recently opened up a new business.
On August 14, Radar Online shared a report with readers, confirming Ryan owes over $119,000 in back taxes and is currently unemployed.
According to the report, a clerk from the Hamilton County Register of Deeds in Ryan’s home state of Tennessee explained that a tax lien was placed upon Ryan on March 27, 2018 in the amount of $119,416.24.
As fans will recall, Ryan and Mackenzie confirmed to E! News at the end of last month that they would not be seen on the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG because MTV does not want to show Ryan as a recovering addict. Instead, the network will continue working with his ex-girlfriend, Maci Bookout, and her husband, Taylor McKinney.
“We’re not returning to Teen Mom this season. The network told us they don’t want to show Ryan as a recovering addict,” Mackenzie claimed. “But they did want to enter a contract with our unborn baby and have the baby film with Ryan’s parents so it would look like someone else is raising it.”
“They also want to take Maci’s word on how I’m doing,” Ryan added. “Maci’s said she’s not going to film unless I enter rehab again and quit the show. But I’m sober.”
Just days before news of the tax lien against Ryan hit the web, Mackenzie announced plans to be a wedding planner.
“Soooo excited to announce my newest venture-wedding and event planning!” wrote Mackenzie on Instagram on August 14. “So thankful for all of the support from my friends and family to make this dream a reality!”
“My personal mission is to see your dreams come to fruition,” she announced on her website. “Sometimes it can be hard to take all of the thoughts, dreams, and visions in your head and turn them into a reality.
