Celebrity Big Brother Season 2 is about to start and there has been a lot of speculation over what the salaries will be. Fortunately for us, a new report is now revealing just how much the celebs are earning from CBS!
According to the report, the Celebrity Big Brother season 2 cast, which includes Dina Lohan and singer Tamar Braxton, will all be earning the same paycheck, regardless of who you are.
TMZ is reporting that Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and the rest of her Celebrity Big Brother co-stars are going to get $100,000 each just for walking through the door.
However, they can make more money if they are able to win the show, with the winner of Celebrity Big Brother earning an additional $250,000.
Additionally, the celebrities aren’t supposed to know who else will be on the show, and for that reason, they were all sequestered in separate hotel rooms before entering the CBB house last Wednesday.
It also turns out that the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother pays more than the USA version. That show has however been around a lot longer.
Last week, Kandi shared her thoughts on doing the competition show, revealing why she chose to sign up for it.
“Honestly, my agent was like ‘hey, do you think you would ever do Celebrity Big Brother?’ and I was like I guess,” said Kandi to ET Online. “You know, I always wanted to do one of those competition shows or a show outside of Housewives. I was like okay, this might be fun.”
She continued, “And then I talked to my daughter Riley, and she was like ‘yes, it’s pretty cool. You should do it.’ So, really, it’s because of Riley.”
Kandi also denied the rumors that the Bravo network was upset with her for doing CBB, pointing out that she needed the network’s blessing in order to do the show.
Celebrity Big Brother 2 premieres on Monday, January 21 on CBS at 8/7c.
