Joe Giudice remains in ICE custody since his prison release back in March. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is now getting support from 27 former judges, who believe that he should get to stay in the country. Could this support have a major influence in whether he’s returned to New Jersey or to his native Italy?
Joe is learning that 27 former immigration judges are coming to his defense, revealing that he deserves to stay in the United States with his family.
The Blast is reporting that former immigration judges and members of the Board of Immigration Appeals filed a motion on behalf of Joe in his pending appeal, revealing why they all believe that he should stay in the country.
At the present time, Joe and his family are still waiting to hear if his appeal has been granted. His original appeal to stay in the country was denied last month, but that was without the 27 former judges’ support. The next step is for him to argue his case before the federal appeals court.
Joe’s family is working hard to keep him in the country, including Gia Giudice who launched a petition in hopes of garnering enough signatures to get President Donald Trump‘s attention. Even Andy Cohen revealed he had signed the petition.
“I’m upset. Unfortunately, I don’t know how it’s going to turn out. It doesn’t look good, but we’ll see,” Melissa previously revealed about the ordeal.
For the time being, Teresa and Joe are both waiting to see if the judges’ support can influence his appeal.
