Teen Mom 2 Star Jenelle Evans' Husband David Eason Loses Custody of Son

Teen Mom 2 star Jennelle Evans‘ husband David Eason lost custody of his son, Kaden, after an assault 911 call and gun threats. Jenelle has started a GoFundMe page to help pay for her husband’s legal fees in the custody battle.

For this MTV star, the custody battles seem never-ending. Just after temporarily losing custody over their kids in May after David allegedly shot and killed their family dog, the reality TV couple is facing yet another custody battle.

According to Radar Online, a North Carolina judge granted David’s ex-wife Olivia Leedham sole legal and physical custody of their son Kaden back on June 29, 2019.

Court documents obtained by New Hanover District Court indicate that Olivia was first awarded sole physical and legal custody of the now five-year-old boy on September 12, 2014, denying David contact with him.

“The Defendant has committed acts of domestic violence on the Plaintiff during the course of the relationship and that he had endangered the life of the child by pushing Plaintiff when she was eight months pregnant and by leaving her in the middle of the road at night when she was seven months pregnant,” the court papers stated.

But in January 2017, David and Olivia reached an agreement in mediation, allowing David to have contact with Kaden on an incremental basis. And the following January, the reality star was granted custody of his son every other weekend.

However, according to reports, in July 2018, David “began displaying a series of alarming behaviors related to visitation with the Defendant, notably, that he would cry uncontrollably, that he would beg not to visit Defendant, and that he was evasive about why he did not want to visit Defendant at Defendant’s residence.”

Due to Kaden’s behavior, the court suspended David’s visitation with his young son in November 2018. In addition to this claim, the court filing also included David’s wife Jenelle’s disturbing 911 call where she accused her husband of assaulting her while their children, including Kaden, were sleeping.

It was also at this time that Olivia brought attention to David’s video that he recorded in 2018 of him showing off his “firearms, knives, blow-darts, and more weapons.”

“The court finds this video disturbing and creates safety issues that the Court deems credible,” official court papers stated.

Since November 2, 2018, David was granted permission to Skype with Kaden two times a week. However, he “did not take full advantage of even the limited amount of time he has been allowed,” court documents determined.

Due to this lack of involvement and the other disturbing claims, Olivia was granted full custody of her and David’s son.

“Since the entry of the February 6, 2018 Custody Order there has been a substantial change in circumstances affecting the welfare of the minor child,” the court declared. “It is in the best interest of the minor child that [the] Plaintiff shall have sole legal and physical custody of the parties’ minor child.”

According to reports, David is currently allowed to Skype with Kaden on Tuesdays and Sundays at 6 p.m.

To help pay for her legal fees, Kaden’s mother started a GoFundMe page on August 28, with a goal of reaching $5,000. In response, MTV star Jenelle started her own GoFundMe campaign with the goal of $3,500 to help her and David pay for their own legal fees, according to Starcasm. However, Jenelle has since shut down the GoFundMe page after receiving just $135 in donations.

In comparison, Kaden’s mom Olivia decided to shut down her page after she received $6,321 in donations, well surpassing her $5,000 goal.
