Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley Accused of Selling False CBD Products With Misleading Labels, See the Ex RHOC Stars' Response

Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley were recently featured on an episode of Inside Edition after being caught selling incorrectly labeled CBD products.

After sending out a number of samples of multiple CBD products, including one sold by the Real Housewives of Orange County stars, the hosts of the show revealed that what was being advertised on their label for Bio Reigns tinctures was flat-out false.

According to the report, Gretchen and Slade’s product claimed to have 560 mgs of CBD and curcumin, an herbal supplement. However, according to the results of lab tests, there was barely any CBD at all. In fact, the report stated that only about 1 mg was found.

“If it says this on the label, why aren’t you giving the consumer that same amount?” investigative correspondent Lisa Guerrero asked Gretchen and Slade.

“That amount is correct because that’s what’s in the bottle,” Slade replied.

According to Damien Gadomski of IEH Labs, the product the couple is selling has hardly any CBD, let alone 560 mgs.

“What is your claim for the actual amount of CBD in the product?” Damien asked Slade.

“It should be about 2 percent,” he responded.

“Okay, so we never found even that amount,” Lisa explained. “We found much less.”

While Slade insisted that the product’s label wasn’t misleading, Gretchen, who welcomed her first child in July, seemed more concerned about the incorrect label and vowed to make a change.

“If this label is misleading in anyway, I want to make sure that we change it,” Gretchen replied.

Following the investigation, the Bio Reigns label was changed.
