MAFS: Chris Williams Apologizes to Ex-Wife Paige Banks and Poses With Mystery Woman, See His Posts

Married at First Sight star Chris Williams has had a big week; between a birthday bash in the Bahamas and ruining his ex’s lives, it’s been an eventful time for him.

Chris started off the week by dropping a bombshell about his ex-fiancée, Mercedes, on his Instagram.

The MAFS season 12 star alleged that Mercedes had never really been pregnant and that she had lied to him about the entire thing just to get back at him for going on the show.

He then posted a picture of him and his ex MAFS wife, Paige Banks, with an extensive caption apologizing for not respecting her or giving things a fair shot, and he said that the baby was the only reason he hadn’t.

He also apologized for “questioning her beauty,” which refers to the controversial episode where Chris revealed to the show’s expert,  Pastor Cal, that he thought Paige had an “ugly” face.

Chris went on to add that the post was not about getting back together with Paige and that he didn’t agree with how she had handled some of the things that had happened. But he allowed that much of it was handled with grace, and for that, he felt she deserved recognition and an apology.

Many fans were surprised at Chris’s sudden change of attitude toward his ex-wife, Paige.

But within twenty-four hours, Chris had changed his mind again, deleting all the previous posts in exchange for one story on his Instagram taking back everything he had just said.

Chris posted a story saying that he had known Mercedes (his ex-fiancée) much longer than he had known Paige (his MAFS ex-wife). We know, it can get very confusing. By saying that, Chris was implying he had made the right decision in the first place to leave Paige and get back with Mercedes.

Chris then went on to say that he never should have shared any of the intimate details he had and apologized for going public with them.

So if you are lost, so far he slammed Mercedes, took that back, and apologized to Mercedes. Then, he did the reverse with Paige, where he apologized to her, took it back, and then slammed her.

But the season 12 “king of chaos” wasn’t quite finished yet. A few days after issuing his retraction story on Instagram, he added another mystery post that confused fans. The post had a picture of him and a woman in front of a flowery backdrop with an emoji of fire pasted over the woman’s face.

The caption read that he was the birthday boy and thanked everyone who made the birthday special. He then added that he would appreciate everyone respecting his privacy, which does seem like an odd request from someone who just shared all the intimate details of his and his ex’s relationship. But then again, that is the mystery that is Chris Williams.

And speaking of mysteries, who is the mystery woman in his photo? Is it his ex Mercedes? Is it an old picture of him and Paige and the comment is meant to bash her? Or is this a new woman entirely?

As Chris deleted the post almost immediately, we may never know who the mystery woman was or what his intent was behind it. But one thing is for sure: things with MAFS alum Chris Williams are never dull.
