Teddi Mellencamp and Cynthia Bailey to Join Celebrity Big Brother Season 3

For several weeks, social media was abuzz with rumors concerning the new cast of Celebrity Big Brother. Many reports claimed Teddi Mellencamp was in the running for the upcoming season three.

In 2020, Teddi was fired from the Bravo show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After her firing was announced, she started a podcast with fellow Housewives alum Tamra Judge.

On Wednesday, CBS made it official.

Both Teddi and Cynthia Bailey (an alum from Real Housewives of Atlanta) will be joining the cast of Celebrity Big Brother.

Others stars included in season three are Carson Kressley, Chris Kattan, Todrick Hall, Different Strokes’ Todd Bridges, N*Sync’s Chris KirkpatrickShanna Moakler (the ex-wife of Travis Barker), UFC’s Miesha Tate, Olympian Mirai Nagasu, and Lamar Odom.

The host will be Julie Chen.

It was also rumored that Erika Jayne, another castmate from RHOBH, would join the cast of CBB. However, a source told The Sun that she couldn’t participate because she was currently filming for the Bravo show.

The insider stated: “There is absolutely no truth to Erika appearing on Celebrity Big Brother.”

Andy Cohen also said on his radio show: “She’s shooting the Housewives of Beverly Hills right now everybody, I hate to burst your bubble.” He explained that she couldn’t do both at the same time because BB is “a confined living experience, and she’s shooting another show.”

An insider also told The Sun that current Housewives rarely join shows from other networks (Big Brother is on CBS while Bravo is owned by NBC).

Celebrity Big Brother will air as NBC hosts the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
