Another day, another Housewife lawsuit.
Things just keep looking worse and worse for Real Housewives of Orange County newbie Noella Bergener.
According to documents obtained by Radar Online, Noella is being hit with an almost $300K lawsuit by a debt collector named Creditors Adjustment. She will be hit with a default judgment if she fails to appear in court.
Noella has a history of failing to appear for court dates or ignoring them completely as she believes the allegations are “unfounded.”
This particular suit began after Noella hired law firm Fried and Goldsman to work on a paternity suit with her ex — with whom she shares a daughter — back in 2014. The court documents say that the firm worked on her case all the way up into 2018.
Now, the law firm is claiming Noella hasn’t paid them for any of the work done and is suing her for the amount of $293,833.22.
A source close to Noella says she doesn’t believe she owes the money, but instead, she believes it is owed by her ex-husband as part of their divorce settlement.
However, Noella was recently served legal papers to show up in court to answer for the allegations.
The source says the allegations are “unfounded.” Yet, that didn’t stop Noella from failing to appear for the court date by the set deadline.
Now, Creditors Adjustment is asking the courts to enter a default judgment against the RHOC cast member. If handed down, this lien would allow them to go after a full judgment from the star.
This is one more issue on a long list of problems for Noella. As we previously reported, Noella was hit with divorce papers from her husband James Bergener (who also is embroiled in a financial lawsuit), who fled to Puerto Rico. Noella claims he has cut off all her credit cards, stopped paying rent on their lavish home, and won’t pay for their son’s care and therapy.
James vehemently denies these claims.
No new comments have been given regarding either one of Noella’s or James’ lawsuits.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
