RHOC Alum Meghan King Auditioned for Season 16, Shares Theory on Why She Was Rejected, and Reveals She Wants "Stability" after Husband Cuffe Split

When Meghan King entered The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2014, her husband was an ex-MLB star. Now, eight years later, Meghan is annulling her marriage to another man, Cuffe Biden Owens, the nephew of President Joe Biden.

Some could argue Meghan deserves another orange from the Bravo gods. Her life is full of twists and turns (perfect for cable television). Although she was fired in 2019, the franchise is allegedly ‘returning to form.’

At the GLAAD Media Awards, E! News asked Meghan what she thought about the current season. In a surprising response, Meghan revealed she auditioned for the cast.

“I didn’t get it,” she said, but she also admitted, “I don’t think I would have been able to have done it. It’s a time commitment, and I’m in St. Louis. I would have had to move and everything.”

After her split from Cuffe (just two months after tying the knot), Meghan moved back to her hometown in Missouri, where she says she feels comfortable. “I’m happy there,” she said.

However, if Bravo reclaimed her for the show, Meghan would “definitely” move back to California. “I had so much fun [on RHOC],” she expressed. “It was great.”

Does Meghan have a theory on why they turned her down? The star answered, “I’m a little bit boring, my Midwest sensibility … Like, I’m kind of just a normal person, you know, but I do interesting things.”

After her dramatic romance with the president’s nephew, Meghan is now looking for “stability.” She wants a partner with “similar value systems … I just want to have fun. I don’t want it to be too much work.”

The mother-of-three is “happy with myself and my kids and not trying to chase the sun.” Of course, Meghan will “look for love,” but she’s “not going to force anything.”

“I have my kids,” Meghan added. “I have a house and friends and family and I’m really good. So I think that’s what the next chapter means, loving what I already have.”
