Meghan King is facing hardships following the sudden end of her third marriage.
In a series of clips shared to her Instagram Reels, the Real Housewives of Orange County alum admitted to struggling with “anxiety and depression” after her split from husband Cuffe Owens, who she married two months ago following just weeks of dating.
“I have some anxiety and depression… This is how it manifests…,” Meghan wrote on her Reel on December 26.
She then shared a photo of herself with marks on her face and her hair pulled back into a ponytail.
“Hair loss around my temples… Picking at my face,” she in the caption, noting how her mental health struggles were leading to bad reactions.
Although Meghan is struggling post-split, she said that she’s “still me” and loving herself as she copes with her personal challenges by getting a good night’s sleep and participating in healthy activities, such as hot yoga.
Prior to her marriage to Cuffe, Meghan was married to Brad McDill from 2007 until 2011 and to Jim Edmonds, the father of her three children, from 2014 until 2019 (although the divorce wasn’t finalized until May of this year).
As RHOC fans may recall, Jim, who is currently engaged to girlfriend Kortnie O’Connor, initially thought Meghan’s third marriage was a “joke.”
“She called me to tell me she was getting married. It was the first I heard anything about it,” Jim told the Daily Mail. “I thought it was a joke – they’d been dating for about four weeks!”
During an episode of her podcast earlier this month, Tamra Judge said Meghan had recently told her that she and Cuffe were “making it work.”
“I’m like, ‘How’s it going.’ She’s like, ‘We’re making it work.’ Because he lives in L.A.,” Tamra shared. “He’s now in St. Louis but I’m sure he’s traveling back and forth and I think she ultimately wants to move to L.A. but she also has to get her ex-husband’s permission for that. It scares me a little bit but if she’s happy, I’m happy.”
Although Meghan hasn’t addressed her and Cuffe’s breakup directly, she hinted at trouble in paradise two weeks ago. At the time, Meghan said that while she and Cuffe felt as though they’d “been married for a million years,” a “two month anniversary staycation” was much-needed.
“Tomorrow real life commences but a few hours in a hotel will do a new marriage good. Please, give us more good marriage tips!” Meghan begged.
