The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah has been making headlines this week after a surprise appearance at BravoCon. She had allegedly been uninvited from the event after entering a guilty plea for wire fraud charges back in July.
“Once we wrapped [season three and] she pled guilty, I think that was kind of, unfortunately, the end of, you know, the engagement there,” Andy said.
Fans were quick to slam Andy for hypocrisy as both RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice and RHOBH’s Erika Jayne were both welcomed back to their respective shows after being charged with crimes. And Jen seemingly agreed while suggesting that race was part of the issue as well.
“Andy announced that @TheRealJenShah no longer works for bravo but Teresa and her ex-husband literally got a spin-off when they did a crime,” one fan tweeted. “At what point do we stop letting the double standards for poc [people of color] go on?” They also added the hashtag, “#WhitePrivilege”
Jen took notice of the tweet and replied, “That’s a great question…”

Another said, “I agree there’s a double standard! Honestly, I never thought they should have brought the [Giudices] back after what they did – especially since Teresa NEVER took any accountability for the criminal behavior or for bad behavior since.”
However, a third person commented that Jen is getting what she deserves as Teresa’s alleged crimes are not the same level as what Jen conspired to do.
“There are other people with criminal histories. Marlo for example. Their crimes were not against vulnerable people. You’re looking for something that’s not there. What Jen did was horrible. It’s like what Tom [Girardi] did.”
According to sources at Deadline, no decision has been made regarding Jen’s appearance at the RHOLSC reunion. Bravo executives are waiting to see what happens at her sentencing, which is set to take place on December 15 after being postponed due to “scheduling conflicts” on the government’s side. Jen originally faced up to 30 years in prison, but per her recent plea deal, she now could be sentenced to up to 14 years instead.
As we previously reported, RHOC‘s Tamra Judge claimed Jen “randomly” showed up to her hotel room during BravoCon and told her that she was not going to jail. She also attempted to “crash” a taping of Watch What Happens Live to share the news but failed due to “too much security.”
Jen denied the claims and asserted she was being paid to attend BravoCon.
