Season 10 of Below Deck is right around the corner and set to take sail.
In a sneak peek preview, Captain Lee Rosbach says he’s in for another “chaotic” season of charter romances, crazy guests, and even a potential evacuation taking place in the serene waters of St. Lucia.
“St. Lucia is the most beautiful island in the Caribbean. It is green from the beach all the way up to the top. And it is lush — it is just out of a postcard,” Captain Lee says in the season 10 trailer via Us Weekly.
Captain Lee has proven time and time again that he can pretty much handle anything that charter guests and his crew can go throw at him. His no-nonsense, take no prisoners attitude has served him well in the past, and this season seems to prove no different.
“I have been a captain 37 years. Everybody wants to be a captain until it is time to do captain s—t,” he frankly remarked. “My expectations for this season are so out of the f***ing park. ”
Previously, there were rumors swirling that Captain Lee would not be returning to the franchise after this season due to health concerns, but Lee put the kibosh on those rumors by posting on Twitter, “Where did you hear that,” after a fan questioned his potential exit.
Former chief stew Kate Chastain did reveal some details about the fan-favorite captain ahead of the season while appearing on the Unfiltered podcast.
“Coming up on the new season of Below Deck airing this fall on Bravo, there is a change that happens. That has never happened before in prior seasons. And Captain Lee may or may not be the captain some of the time,” Kate teased. She then added that Captain Lee will “always come back” and would “metaphorically” go down with his ship if and when the show ended.
This season’s cast looks like a great combination coming aboard to work on the St. David yacht. The show is welcoming back some familiar faces as well as newcomers to shake up the mix.
Returning to the show — this time as the chief stew — is Fraser Olender. He is joined by returning chef Rachel Hargrove for her third (and final stint) on the series. Rachel criticized Bravo earlier this year, stating she’s “done” with Bravo and Below Deck as it’s something she “doesn’t believe in” anymore.
Rounding out the interior crew are two new additions: “sensational stunning hot mess” Hayley De Sola Pinto and Alissa Humber, who describes herself as “flirty.”
The exterior crew is new as well. Replacing long-time bosun Eddie Lucas will be “old school” yachtie Ross McHarg. He’ll be joined by adventurist deckhand Luis Antonio “Tony” Duarte, deckhand and personal trainer Ben Willoughby, and Katie Glaser, who says she knows “how to rock it.”
In a new unique twist, season 10 will include its first-ever “combination” role aboard a vessel. Self-described “small-town Mississippi gal” Camille Lamb will be joining the team as a dual member of both the interior and exterior crew.
