Bethenny Frankel revealed how her daughter and team reacted to her recent Watch What Happens Live interview, and they expressed their feeling that she was ambushed. During the episode, host Andy Cohen and guest Jeff Lewis challenged her explanation for unfollowing Kyle Richards, and Jeff insinuated that she was flat-out lying.
Andy also called her out for “trashing” Real Housewives of New York before she decided to make a podcast about it. He then alluded to her previous quotes about the franchise, including her claim that it’s toxic. At one point, Jeff suggested the recap podcast was unoriginal.
In a December 7 tweet, Bethenny responded to a fan who asked if she felt “ambushed” after the WWHL appearance.
The star claimed she didn’t, but she revealed that her “daughter” and “team” indeed “felt that way.”

The Skinnygirl business mogul also took to Instagram to comment on the taping.
She first alluded to the “craziness” of WWHL, which she’s “used to.”
“I thought it was reality as usual,” continued the 52-year-old. “My daughter and team thought it was a little hot & hostile.”
She then shared her daughter and team’s belief that a “decent dose of shade” was thrown at her, particularly regarding her podcast.
“Hmmm,” she expressed, including three pairs of eyes emojis.
Many fans wondered if Bethenny was lying about the Kyle story when Jeff seemed to call her bluff.
“Call [Kyle] up and ask,” said Bethenny. “We text all the time.”
“Great, I can text her right now,” he responded.
“I’ll text her too,” Bethenny clapped back. Jeff then declared, “I’ll text her and find out the real story since you’re not being honest.”
Later, Bethenny confirmed she had just gotten off the phone with Jeff, and she shared that he did in fact apologize to her. She called him a “class act for apologizing.”
